Location could not be better. Walking distance to grocery store, bike rentals, kayak rentals, restaurants, shuttles, whale watching, tours, etc.
The house has pros and cons. On the pro side, the house is roomy. The kitchen is large and well stocked with cookware. There is wifi and a nice foosball table.
On the con side, the house is in major need of love. The furniture is old and very dusty and of salvage yard quality. Our group had lots of allergy issues due to dust and mildew in the home. The sleeper sofa on the porch doesn't open because the porch isn't wide enough for it. The bedrooms have a college dorm vibe... Many of the doors in the house do not close or even hold in a closed position. The house has not been professionally maintained as evidenced by a hook and eye necessary to keep one of bathroom doors from swinging open. Trust me that it's not a charming feature. The downstairs bathroom has no way to keep you private, so be sure everyone remembers to knock. The shower curtains are also dorm quality and many of the hooks are pulled out. There is a hodge podge of old chairs in the kitchen which get the job done, but you'll get a flashback to college when you rented a house that the owner had given up on. There is considerable rot on the exterior of the home and some gutters that are held up by a makeshift wooden post. That won't affect your stay, but it gives you an idea of the advanced state of neglect. If that doesn't bother you, you will love it.
