Tucked away at the end of a private road, you will feel removed from it all but still remarkably close to a bevy of activities. Two bedrooms and 1 bath with a country kitchen that opens to the living and dining room. The dining area comfortable seats 6 and is the perfect spot for enjoying a meal or playing a game. Glass french doors open to the wrap around deck. An ideal place to enjoy a cup of coffee and take in the surroundings. The cozy living area is complete with sectional, built-in bookcase and adjacent sitting area. Besides offering flat screen cable viewing, the bookcase offers up a plethora of entertainment options, including books for all ages, games, puzzles or movies. Each bedroom is sweetly decorated with a chair, dresser and gracious closet space.

Wonderful Stay

Wonderful week long stay. The location was perfect for short drives to hiking and activities in Asheville. Just a short 10 minute drove to get on the Blueridge Parkway. The two bedrooms were more than enough for our family. Great outdoor space to relax. The property overlooks a small hobby farm. Our dog loved watching the sheep and horses graze in the field below.

Red Cabin getaway

Great place in the mountains! Our small family group enjoyed the cabin being a little remote but close to other activities in the area. The cabin is very comfortable with artistic design elements in the furnishings and decor. It worked well as there were books and fun things for my grandson son and I to do. The host was very quick to respond to questions and had everything explained in messages and notebook. We had a great experience and highly recommend!

Cozy red casa

The only thing I would change about our stay would be staying one more day. The red Casa was such a great stay and might be one of my favorite places we’ve stayed at near Asheville. The beds were some of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept on at a rental. We loved everything about the house from the set up, the spaces, all the little details and cozy touches. The house was really spacious and the outdoor area was wonderful to have. I enjoyed having tea on the patio and watching the sheep in the morning. This is a great place to stay that’s still pretty close to all the action while being out in the country.

A Little Slice of Heaven!

House was great and the view was wonderful. Great communication with the owner who was very accommodating. A grocery store about 10 minutes away which gave us great options for meals at home. About 30 minutes away from Asheville and the airport but you felt like you were far away from the maddening crowds.

Mike and I have been traveling partners since we took our first big adventure in 1991. Four months after we started dating we bought one way tickets to Europe and started our crazy life together. Four states, 2 awesome kids, lots of animals and lots of travel is part of our story. Traveling has made us better humans and hopefully really great hosts! We love opening our spaces up to others with the hope it makes someone’s journey all the better and becomes part of their story.

Three and 3/4 acres backing up to hundreds of National Forest acres was the first thing that caught our attention. The second was a ramshackle house on the property that we were sure was destined for the bulldozer. After a little time and consideration, we thought it might be more interesting to give this small home a second life. With the brilliance of the nighttime sky to motivate us and the braying of nearby donkeys to make us smile, we undertook a renovation that lasted a little over a year. The end result is a gathering space that makes us want to crack open a game, pick up a guitar or read a book on the adirondack swing. We love it and hope you do too!
