Beach Front Casa - Soliman Bay - 10 Min. North of Tulum

Spend a week with your loved ones on your own private stretch of Caribbean sand! Open the patio doors to our beautiful house and you are literally standing on a secluded Caribbean beach. Your children will be able to play in the sand and calm water, marveling at hermit crabs and pelicans. As the sun sets and the only sounds are the waves and birds, you will be glad to share this memory with your family or friends.

Our property, Nah Yaxche, is located in Bahia Soliman, a private beachfront community 10 minutes north of Tulum pueblo. The Great Maya Barrier Reef breaks the waves in the turquoise water 200-300 yards from the beach. Take a kayak out a mere 30 yards into the bay and jump in for a private snorkling experience in calm shallow water. In the evening, maybe a margarita, the sound of waves and the sunset? Or if you have children, they will love taking the short drive into Tulum to shop for Mayan arts and crafts or dine on pizza or tacos.

Having lived in the Caribbean, we can assure you,it is not possible to have a more private and intimate Caribbean beach vacation than you will have at Nah Yaxche. The main house holds the master bedroom and bath and full kitchen. Ten feet away, the private casita contains the second bedroom (with a double bed) and bath. Both structures have traditional palapas (palm-frond thatched roofs).

The house is cared for by our caretaker, Obdulio who lives on the property. 6-day housekeeping is included the price of a rental. Bahia Soliman is a safe and secure private community with 24 hour private security.

Ruínas Maias de Tulum é um dos principais pontos turísticos da região, que também conta com atrações naturais como Praia Akumal e Parque Nacional de Tulum. Parque Xel-Há e LabnaHa Ecopark Adventures também valem a visita. A piece of paradise within your reach

Words cannot describe how wonderful this location is! David, Obdulio, and Flor went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and taken care of, starting from expedited communications upon the booking all the way to cleaning the grounds, property, and even helping us open coconuts on the beach :) The property is composed of two units: a main building and a casita, both reflecting the local architectural style. We loved the palapa-style roof and the simple but efficient amenities. 5 people fit perfectly on the two beds and 1 futon. We felt incredibly privileged to wake up to the sound of waves and be able to step from the patio directly to the beach enjoying a cup of freshly brewed coffee (thanks to Obdulio for providing locally sourced and organic toasted coffee beans for us!). The beach is wonderful, with white sand, and shallow water reaching all the way to the reef about 300 yards away. We used the provided kayaks daily, and were not discouraged by the spotty occurrence of the sargasso weed (their appearance depends on the wind direction, with accumulation on the shore, but just about 20 yards offshore the water stays crystal clear!). The location is great because it is secluded, yet close to the entertainment/stores in Tulum, and several nearby attractions. We visited Dos Ojos (swimming in the bat caves is totally recommended!!), Selva Maya adventures (zip lines), the ruins of Coba', and a snorkeling trip from the Idiosa beach (ask for Jorge's boating trip) which included visiting the Tulum's ruins from the seaside plus snorkeling with sea turtles and stingrays. We really hope to be able to return in the future. The property is currently for sale and we would have bought it on a heartbeat if only our kids were not in school-age :)

Beautiful property on Soliman Bay

This was my seventh stay on Soliman Bay and my first time back since 2018. This was my first time at this property and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. Loved the ambience and location on the beach. Obdulio and Flor are wonderful and make sure to order a meal from Flor. Absolutely delicious! We had regular visits on the patio in the morning while having our coffee from Akita their Chihuahua. Great snorkeling just steps from the front door. I find myself thinking about planning my return before I even arrive at the airport to depart.

A perfect getaway

This was a great experience from start to finish. David was quick to respond and gave great tips. The property was amazing, private, safe, and beautiful. Flor and Obdulio were wonderful hosts, and her cooking was amazing. We snorkeled, explored Tulum and Akumal, and fished!! Couldn’t ask for a better experience. Only bummer was the seaweed, and the fact that we didn’t make it to the ruins. Next time!!!

Bahia Soliman is unique in the world. A perfectly shaped, calm half-moon bay, overflowing with wild-life and surrounded by homes, not hotels. Both the nature and the community are wonderfully relaxing and private. The first time we came, we knew we wanted to own a piece of this paradise forever. It took a few years, but we finally did purchase the place... and we go down to spend time there ourselves, every chance we get for as long as possible.

There simply is not such thing as a more private Caribbean vacation on a more beautiful beach. The ease of snorkling incredible. If you have never had a Caribbean beach in your backyard, we really encourage you to give it a try.
