Três quartos, casa de log construído a partir de registros de mão lavradas. vista deslumbrante de 65 milhas de comprimento Center Hill Lake e as colinas no coração da bela Tennessee Médio em 7 + acres de propriedade muito particular no final de uma pequena estrada de comunidade. Localizado próximo Hurricane Marina

Um filme Lifetime foi filmado aqui em 2003 e agora está sendo mostrado. O nome do filme é 'No Regrets' para assistir a programação da sua TV para mostrar vezes ou fim de Netflix. Nós também tivemos um Vice-Presidente recente e sua família passar algum do seu tempo de férias aqui.

A casa é de dois andares, moradia particular com 12 pés janelas alta de imagem em todo o lado do lago da casa. A grande sala tem uma ampla sala de estar, jantar e cozinha com 24 pés tectos abobadados, e uma lareira de massa. Um andar de baixo quarto duplo com lavabo. No andar de cima tem dois quartos e um banheiro completo.

Um quarto tem uma cama king eo outro tem uma cama Queen. Aero leitos estão disponíveis para mais dois convidados - as crianças adoram-los! Um grande deck com cadeiras de balanço, muitas marinas nas proximidades de canoagem, esqui aquático e pesca. Instrução de esqui de água está disponível em algumas docas. Animais de estimação não são permitidos; proibido fumar.

Os restaurantes são na maioria das marinas e em Smithville e Cookville. Experimente o novo restaurante no furacão Marina. Muitos tipos de barcos estão disponíveis para alugar na maioria das marinas. Os caminhantes e amantes da natureza desfrutar dos inúmeros parques estaduais nas proximidades, incluindo 'Fall Creek Falls State Park', com a mais alta cai leste das Montanhas Rochosas, e 'South Cumberland State Park'. Personal and spiritual retreat

My wife and i enjoyed this beautiful property for three days and are looking to have an extended stay in the fall.

Words are inadequate to express the tranquility of this setting. Having stayed here on two previous occasions, we were not surprised to enjoy the peaceful setting more than ever.

The Innkeeper and housekeeper took care of us quite nicely.

There is wifi. There is an incredible view. The log house is rustic and comfortable. The kitchen has more than adequate space and is fully furnished. The dining area and living room complemented our stay more than we could have wished for.

During our stay we were able to focus on things which can get lost in a busy world. The owner is so blest to be the caretaker of this beautiful property. I told her so.

The local convenience center has signs posted "for Dekalb County residents and taxpayers only", but if you tell them, this is Dekalb Ciunty trash from Ms Susan's place, they will smile and say "Welcome".I think Everybidy knows the Innkeeper.

The local food Lion is well stocked with reasonable prices.

The County Assessor's office was extremely accommodating in assisting with property records in the area.

The Mapco people at the corner if Congress and Briad were amazingly nice. This is a good community.

We will return soon.

Stunning

There aren't words to describe the natural beauty as well as the ambience of this place. The view is as stated - indescribable. The cabin is a unique blend of old and rustic with every modern comfort. The furnishings are beautiful and unique. I cannot imagine a more tranquil and beautiful settings for any type of holiday or getaway. Susan and Maudine were very accommodating, helped us with everything and couldn't have been nicer. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Wonderful Retreat!

Having stayed at this beautiful cabin on the lake before, I was so pleased to find it availble for the entire month! My wife and I are thoroughly enjoying our stay. The owner is correct; there is no better view on the lake than here. We are finishing our final week and already are planning another shorter visit in October (if we can guess the best week for leaf color). The cabin is rustic and we like rustic! The television works great with lots of channels but we listen mostly to the music channels. We watched a dvd once when our granddaughter came up and it worked fine. The dollar store is only a few minutes away and they have incredible supplies. We ate at the Blue Water Grille with our son, wife and granddaughter last Saturday and whoa! what a menu. Living in the greater Nashville area, we know great food and I am pleased to say that The Blue Water Grille food could not have been better, complemented by a table on the water at gorgeous Hurricane Marina. Today is rest; will squeeze in a few hours to watch the University of Tennessee volunteers manhandle the University of Florida Gators; take a drive over to The Joe L. Evins Craft center; then dinner at the Blue Water Grille. Last week I made a freezer of home made peach ice cream and the family loved it. Last night my sister and her husband came up from Chattanooga and we celebrated their wedding anniversary with a home cooked meal and left over homemade ice cream topped with strawberries. Everybody has their own taste; I like everything here just like it is and will send my request for the October stay next week. My experience with the owner has been most cordial and I highly recommend this property.

Amazing View

I have delayed writing this review giving Mrs. Wright time to respond to our concerns. We have stayed in this house several times and until last year would have written a favorable review. Our last stay was not pleasurable! We were not able to stay the third night because of problems with the septic tank. There had been a lot of rain and Maudine told us they had been having problems with the septic system and a plumber had been out before. Maintaining a workable septic system is the responsibility of the owner, not guests who stayed for 2 nights. Maudine was very helpful and responded to our call of the toilets being stopped up. This happened on Wednesday, after arriving on Monday. After the plumber worked for several hours, it was usable for only a couple of hours, but then stopped up again! The plumber had told us there was a blockage in the line he could not get to. We did not feel we could stay for our third night because the toilet was not dependable. We had also reported to Maudine that the DVD player did not work as there was a DVD stuck, not ours! After we left, we were shocked to hear from Mrs. Wright that we would not be reimbursed for the night we could not stay and also our deposit would not be refunded!! We were accused of causing the problem with the septic tank because we used the wrong toilet paper for a day and 1/2. There are no statements in house as to the kind of toilet paper to use. We used ours only after the initial supply was used and this could not have caused the stoppage. We were accused of breaking the DVD player; we could not have used because it was broken when we arrived! We were accused of cutting the telephone line, really we DID not! We were accused of using the bathroom buy the edge of porch, really we DID not! Anyone could have done both telephone line and outside potty as the property is accessible. We have contacted Mrs. Wright with our concerns and she only responded to say she would keep $600.00 of our funds to cover her repairs. We did not cause any of the problems! The septic tank is the owner's responsibility and problems occur, but we should not be held responsible. We have traveled together for many years and have never had a problem until this stay.

Resposta do proprietário: I am very sorry that Ms. Jackson had problems with their stay at my home. First, there was not a problem with the septic tank at all even if the plumber might have thought that when he arrived. It turned out to be extreme stoppage that ended up taking two trips to the house to correct. Too much toilet paper is a problem with most toilets and that is what it turned out to be. Ms. Jackson called Maudine and left before the plumber came back. It was stopped and we haven't had further problems. Maudine saw a gentleman trying to pry a DVD out of the player, if it wasn't their's,WHY? I had just bought a new telephone and the line to the charger was cut. Maudine always calls me on the house phone so I know it was working. I did not charge for a new phone and unknown people do not access inside my house. I think the problem started when a watch was stolen from Ms. Jackson's friend by a Squirrel, can anyone believe that, please let me know!! As for the use of out side facility off the porch I can understand under the circumstances, but why not clean up!! The cost of the plumber twice, Maudines cleaning twice, cleaning supplies, cost of the DVD player came to the amount I withheld. I have never had an experience like this and hope I never do again. I do not expect to get a threating letter from an attorney demanding an immediate answer or suffer the consequences. I was raised to be fair and I will always try to run my little rental business in a fair way. I ignored the tasteless letter because my son- in- law is an attorney and he advised me to wait and see if Ms. Jackson seriously wanted to take me to court. Once again I am very sorry for your bad experience. I know you must realize why your funds were withheld. Sincerely, Susan Miller Wright

Our Favorite Tennessee Cabin

We have stayed in several cabins on our holiday trips the past few years, but the little cabin on Hummingbird Hill is by far our favorite...great location, charming cabin and decorating, close to what we need and secluded at the same time, and the owner is the best...we will be back many tines and we look forward to every visit and another chance to sit on the back porch and rock away the stress of the rest of the world...
