Alta Vista Peak é um de três níveis, três quartos casa de montanha rio com uma cabine sentir localizado em Three Rivers, California. A propriedade foi completamente remodelado. As duas casas de banho foram construídos utilizando uma grande quantidade de pedras de rio para ajudar a criar um ambiente de montanha rio. Há uma lareira no piso principal e um fogão a lenha no quarto principal. A cozinha foi criado com um chef gourmet em mente! Lotes de aparelhos de quartos e de alta qualidade para preparar refeições com perfeição. Há um grande deck com vista para a entrada do Parque Nacional Sequoia. A partir do deck e todas as janelas voltado para o leste é a espetacular Morro Rock. A rocha de granito sólido semelhante geologicamente de Yosemite Half Dome.

Mixed emotions

This property could be a very nice experience if a little TLC and elbow grease were put into it. The location was great, but a bit hard to get to it. Just as stated in previous reviews, the driveway from the main road is long and very rough. Once we got to the house, we couldn't help but notice the house next to it. Very unkept and filled with junk all around it. When we got up to the deck, the view is phenomenal, but can't help feeling like we were near where the movie "Deliverence" was filmed, with the neighbor next door. He happened to turn out very nice, but if you don't know this guy, he looks a bit scary. Then he tells us that Jerry asked him to take trash out of garage to be picked up, so he wanted us to leave garage unlocked. Felt a bit uncomfortable with that, but it turned out to be fine. The neighbor has a large dog, as noted in other reviews, but he did not seem to be a problem. We were told that the neighbor is planning to move soon, so hopefully whoever buys the place will clean it up. The outside of the house we were staying in could certainly benefit from a good power washing. Cobwebs on all the windows. There is a very nice deck off the porch which was nice, except that there were yellow jacket bees that made it impossible to enjoy eating outside. The neighbor said that he has put out traps, which we saw, to catch the bees, but they were everywhere!.

So moving inside. Jerry has done some remodeling and it was very nice. There were some concerns with how the place had been "cleaned". There is a beautiful copper farm sink in the kitchen, but it was had a bad odor and I had to clean it before even using it. The stairway down to the garage appeared to not have been cleaned in quite some time, as well as the rugs in the main level bathroom. They were so dirty that I put towels on them to stand on. Jerry needs to consider getting someone else to clean between peoples staying there.

Now for the furnishings. This place looks to have been furnished by leftover or used furniture. The beds were old and worn out, pillows were flat and uncomfortable. The A/C did not work in one of the bedrooms on main level. Also, the light going to the upstairs has an electrical problem. We couldn't get it to turn off unless the switch was just between on and off. Not safe. Light in kitchen would not turn on. Overall this could be a nice place, but Jerry needs to invest some money and get people who will clean the place up.

Visiting Sequoia and Kings Canyon

The house was conveniently located near the park entrance. The lay-out, and the size of the house fit our needs perfectly. It has a nice deck that looks out at Moro Rock. Unfortunately it was too hot to use during the day. However, we utilized the deck after dark for star gazing with a telescope. Great exposure and a dark sky to enhance the star gazing.

Needs a good clean and a new neighborhood.

The long dirt driveway was unkept, overgrown, and potholed with deep puddles.

From the outside, the house looked fine. However on entering the foyer, we were met with the smell of old dirt. The house was not clean. Mouse droppings adorned the garage floor with the sounds of mice echoing in the walls. The furniture and bed were older and in need of a good clean. Few things were newer, but not enough to distract from the old.

Across the shared driveway, there was a house that appeared abandoned with boards over its windows, but was notheless inhabited by a shirtless man who spent a lot of time staring at us from his front yard (adorned with ancient vehicles, hoods open). During the afternoon, the police came to visit the neighbor, who didn't answer his door, but soon he was outside again.

Then around 10:30 pm, someone tried to break in through the kitchen window. After 30 minutes, 25 officers showed up in force. They asked us if we were armed and we were told to defend ourselves and advised to kill the burglar with a kitchen knife--- we were assured no charges would be filed. They expressed little surprise at the call.

We left the house and slept into my car for the remainder of the night far away from the rental, fearing a return visit, and another 30 minute wait for authorities to arrive.

We use VRBO several times/yr... this was a first.

Resposta do proprietário: I'm shocked by this review of the cleanliness and furniture inside the house as every other reviews says how much nicer the house is in person. The pictures and other reviews on this website speak for themselves. This group did call the cops in the middle of the night but they never saw a burglar and the cops that were called simply thought that it was an animal, as the house in the mountains and there are known animals that roam freely in the area.

The property is decent!

The property is decent but overrated! The Windy unpaved road is a bit remote and hard to find. The dog Ringo is overly friendly and would not leave us alone he wanted to join our meals and seemed always hungry. The house was clean however the towels in the master bath were not fresh? They smelled bad. The living room was cozy but dim a few bulbs were out. The view was spectacular and aside from the above details we had a lovely stay.

We were 28 people, the house was very large, able to accommodate all of us easily. The volleyball court was great to have.

Great family vacation spot!

We couldn't have been more satisfied with our stay. The location was perfect! Nine of us stayed in the house (all adults) and we had plenty of room to move around and hang out. We brought a couple of blow up beds and only used one. The house was clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and there was plenty of seating.

We had a wonderful time in Sequoia and Kings Canyon. We saw several bears, deer, marmots and chipmunks. We were surprised to find the waterfalls still had water - given the drought. We can only imagine how beautiful they are when the rivers are full. We also visited Crystal Cave which is highly recommended for those able to hike.
