Fabulous Place !

This is a wonderful place and highly recommended !

Firstly we cannot say enough about the owner, Su, as she is so helpful and full of good ideas to get the most out of the surrounding area. She is always available by text and ready to help on any idea or need.

Secondly the house is awesome. When you walk in and see the expansive view across the bay you will be in awe. The large windows make the living area a wonderful place to be. Although close to the shops, it is a quiet location and very peaceful. At night we slept so well with the gentle sounds of the waves crashing onto the beach. The kitchen is really well equipped and you will certainly have everything you need during your stay

We did not get to use the outside area as much as we would have liked as it was unseasonably chilly but the deck area is large and full of places to sit and drink or eat.

There are plenty of good shops close by and Su has many specialist recommendations for the best food of the area. There are many things to do in the area and as long as the weather is kind you will certainly have a great vacation.

We would love to go back one day as we really enjoyed our time at Seaview ! Go ahead, make a reservation !!

Water front beauty

The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The view of the bay was wonderful. The only thing that I would like better would be a king size bed in master and a bigger tv in living room. Small request but other than that the home was excellent. Would stay again!

Beautiful Beachhouse!

We spent 5 wonderful days at this lovely home. 5 adults, a 2 year old, and a newborn loved the location right on beach, the huge sundeck, and the totally equipped house with everything one could possibly need...and more! Our 2 dogs joined us and they were welcomed with a boxful of towels, blankets, bowls, etc., doggie treats, and they loved the place. The beds are so comfy, and huge windows provided beautiful views of all the activity in Departure Bay. As we had a two year old with us, we more than appreciated the highchair, Pack and Play, and a great park 2 minutes walk away. The house was exceptionally clean as well and the owner was a great pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and we will certainly go back! Thank you, Su!

Highly recommend!!

How lucky we were to be able to stay in the Seaview house on our recent trip to Vancouver Island. The owner, Su, was extremely responsive and helpful during our stay regarding various outings, restaurants, etc for us to take. Seaview was a truly welcoming site on our arrival after a long day of travel from North Carolina with soft music playing and fresh pastries awaiting us. The house is very well equipped, decorated beautifully, and spotless. We enjoyed kayaking in the bay, watching the seaplanes and ferries, and breathtaking sunrises while we were there. Seaview is conveniently located with an easy drive to Tofino, Cathedral Grove, Victoria, and many other pretty places as daytrips. Would definitely stay here again!

We Loved this place, and Nanaimo!!

We just returned from one week at Sea view, where we left our hearts… This vacation was a memorable experience and the perfect space for our family of five adults. Su is an extraordinary host who prides herself in each guest’s comforts- evident in her excellent communications from beginning to end, her generous ways such as the much appreciated welcome goodies from COBS bread bakery (fabulous!! ) her offer to “shop for necessities” when she learned we would be arriving later than anticipated, and her thoroughly functional, well designed and equipped house. It is as fresh, clean, gorgeous and picturesque as everyone has previously said, with comfortable beds, a well-appointed chef’s kitchen, great BBQ and nice furniture inside and out. We enjoyed the mesmerizing views out every window, listening to the waves at night and waking up to see the sunrise straight out of the ocean and hearing the ever-present sound of seagulls… all magical. There is so much to see and do and appreciate in the Nanaimo area from hiking the trails at Neck Point, to exploring the tide pools at Pipers Lagoon, and strolling the Harbourview promenade where you can see native artisans make and sell jewelry and beautiful hand carved totems each with a unique legend. Don’t miss the ice cream parlour, tea shops, the fun gathering place, Lighthouse Bistro and Pub, right on the water by the seaplane office. They serve fresh seafood and mojitos in a variety of fresh berry flavours. We took short day trips where we sampled wine and cheese at MooBerry Winery in Parksville, and explored the quaint artsy shops in Qualicum Beach. We feel we have just barely scratched the surface of what there is to see and do from this central location. Shop local. Bring nothing. The many local Nanaimo liquor and grocery stores, Nesvog’s butcher, Cobs bakery, and the Seadrift fish market had everything we needed, all fresh and abundant. If you book this home you will not be disappointed. We are planning to return next year. Cheers Mary, Jim and family Sept 2017

An Absolute Magic Place

We stayed with our Son and family and found the house and location to be terrific. I corresponded with the owner Su prior to arrival and found her extremely helpful. The house was exactly as it was described. It contained everything you would expect and more and all of a very high quality. It was very clean and well maintained. The location was unbelievable. Waking up in the morning to the amazing sunrises, the ferries and float planes coming and going provided a wonderful start to each day.

Our grandchildren were thrilled with being able to swim and Kayak so close and safely near the house. We were amazed by the wildlife that paraded daily in the bay in front of the house. There were the Geese, Ottos and Orca whales. What a big WOW to see the Orcas.

It was also terrific to be able to walk to most facilities and have a great bus service so close to get you to a major shopping Center and of course Nanaimo City Waterfront and the Old City.

I would highly recommend a stay at the Seaview but would recommend you book early as it is so highly sought after .

We found Su the owner a magic and lovely lady and could not do enough to ensure we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A big thank you Su.

We will be back some time in the future.
