Temos decorados do condomínio mantendo-se com a tecnologia de hoje, incluindo acesso Wi-Fi à Internet, de som Bose Dock para iPod e iPhone (tem entrada para outros dispositivos não-Apple e iPhones mais recentes - Requer 3. 5 milímetros masculino para cabo de áudio do sexo masculino), DVD player, despertador no quarto principal.

Com dois quartos bem decorados, há espaço suficiente para 4 pessoas para dormir muito confortavelmente um colchões de luxo e edredons. Cada quarto tem seu próprio ar condicionado. O quarto principal tem uma cama king-size, um 32 "Flat Panel Sony® Bravia HDTV LCD equipado com Sky® Televisão por satélite e uma moderna casa de banho privada em mármore. A sala de 'verde' tem uma cama queen-size com casa de banho privativa.
As a frequent user of VRBO and traveler I have to admit that I was disappointed in the condition of the condo and the lack luster response when brought to the attention of the owner. What really makes this disappointing is that the condo is ideally located to 5th Avenue and a short walk to the beach which would be fantastic if it was in "first class" condition as advertised.
Let me start with our arrival - we were warmly greeted by email and phone upon landing by Jorge (property manager) which was nice. When we got to the apartment we were overpowered by the strong mildew odor (please note that I am from Miami and familiar with tropical climates) and saw many signs of water and mold damage. I really wish I could attach pictures here which I took to share with potential renters. There were several water stains on the ceiling and even a hole which started to leak during some of the rain we had during the stay (I am struggling to understand why this wasn't even superficially repaired!) Other signs were oxidation (rust) on appliances and the bar stools and the rotting wood on the deck and staircase to the rooftop.
Aside from the condition we had many "issues" which required the assistance of the property manager all throughout the duration of our stay. It started with arriving in the late evening and being told at the end of checkin that we were without water and would be without the use of toilets or showers until a broken pump in the basement was repaired. This really impacted our first night plans for dinner and certainly our comfort overnight until repaired the next morning. Other issues included a broken toilet due to old equipment, water leak from the laundry room, inconsistent water pressure and flow (we only mentioned to Jorge and coped with this), and broken dryer at the end of stay. I should note that Jorge was responsive every time I had to text him, but quite frankly I shouldn't have had to get to know him so well in a rental billed as "modern first class" and paying peak seasonal rates.
To close I would say that I take no pleasure in writing any type of negative review but felt little recourse after bringing to the attention of the property manager and owner for remedy (maybe even an apology) and not getting much in the way of a response. I would love to see the owner reinvest some of the rental earnings to repair water and mold damage including replacing/restoring furniture to original condition.
We enjoyed our stay immensely once a few wrinkles were ironed out by her marvellous Manager, Jorge Bribescua. The location is excellent between 5Th Avenue and the wonderful ocean. The condo needs a facelift but has good bones. Great restaurants all within walking distance, we loved Off the Vine on First, especially their theme nights, Zero Zero for fabulous pizza and Dona Aurelia`s in Playacar for Mexican, also Chiltepin on 34th. We spent Febuary and March there and would return tomorrow!!
I travel to Playa Del Varmen often, both as a get away with my wife and with our children. We rented Doca 302 for a family getaway over the Christmas holidays.
The manager was very helpful and very responsive when we did have a very small issue-the toilet running. The condo is beautiful and very well laid out 2 bedroom. The outside deck is two levels and very nice. You can also enjoy the rooftop pool deck which we swam at a few times.
The condo is clean, new and modern. The location is very good... just a few blocks walk from the beach and only a couple blocks of 5th ave. We always felt safe, this condo is in a good area. The onsite manager was seen often around the condo. He was very nice and friendly, always willing to help with directions or a restaurant recommendation.
I had some worries when we booked because of the noise mentioned in other reviews. This never bothered us. I was very familiar with the area and knew exactly what soccer field this sits next to. There were dance/zumba classes going until the evening but they were never loud enough to disturb us. If you are on the deck you would hear it, but it was not disturbing. You certainly would not hear it inside the condo with a TV on.
We will absolutely attempt to book this condo when we return to Playa.
It was an ideal location, 2 blocks from the beautiful beach, 1 block away from 5th Avenue, apartment was as expected good quality - beds were amazing and the roof top terrace was ace for the end of the day. I will be going back and staying next year for sure!!! My girls loved it and well worth it!
We’ve stayed in Playa many times and are very familiar with the town. Although the website description of DOCA 302 is generally accurate, we experienced several unexpected conditions. The DOCA building is not “just one block from the beach” but rather five blocks. Depending on one’s route, the walk can be quite pleasant. There are no “amazing views” from the deck. The only thing seen is the ugly roof of a building immediately across the street with propane and hot water tanks. Although a photo of the living room includes a partial view of this roof, reality does not become apparent until you are sitting on the balcony. Mostly, one sees urban sprawl. Do not expect an “amazing view of the ocean”. The website’s photo of a white tower and the sea behind is misleading. These are much further away than indicated. We were looking forward to a peaceful vacation; instead, we experienced so much noise that we stayed away from the condo as much as possible. At night, we slept with earplugs and eye masks. There’s a lot of traffic on nearby streets. If you don’t mind the irritating noise of motorcycles, tour buses, etc., it will not be a problem. Somewhere, outdoor sports classes start at 8:00 A.M. Imagine 30 or 40 balls hitting the court at once! Night games can last till midnight with enthusiastic fans playing drums to support their teams. Loud, Zumba classes destroy any sense of tranquility. We couldn't sit on the balcony and enjoy a glass of wine. The Jacuzzi on the upper deck could not be used for the same reasons. Nearby lighting shines into the bedroom which stays on all night. A two-inch gap between each blackout blind seems like a flashlight in one’s face, an irritation that reduces the quality of sleep. There are no screen doors. The glass patio doors could not be left open at night since cockroaches crawl in. Security is an issue. Two condos, one floor below, were robbed during the day. Daytime security was subsequently added by building management. Both roof pools are lovely and clean. There is absolutely no shade, which becomes very uncomfortable in sunny Mexico. This location would be suitable for some; however, our vacation expectations are perhaps different. We did not expect to be annoyed by noise or the view in a "first class" destination. The Owner tried to relocate us to a quieter property; but at the last minute, was unable to do so. Ana, the condo manager was very kind and helpful as was her associate Rodolfo.
We rented this unit with another couple and had a very pleasant stay, it is just off the main street and a few minutes walk to most anywhere that you could want to go to, even the end of the strip is about a 20 minute walk. The interior is beautiful and very contemporary. The unit has a washer and dryer so this makes a bonus over a hotel room stay and you can just wash your own clothes. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of utinsils, plates and glasses. The Megamart is about 4 or 5 blocks away and a great place to get some groceries to stock up, and of course the town is abundant with the best food in the world.
