When staying at the Oglethorpe Lodge, you can expect a comfortable room with plenty of space and amenities. The suite includes a full kitchen and living space for visiting with friends and family. Extra sleeping space is included with a pullout sofa in the suite. Oglethorpe Lodge has a designated off-street parking space located behind the lodge for Suite 1.

Charming property with amazing location

It was a charming garden apartment just steps away from all the beauty Savannah has to offer. We loved being able to be so close to the restaurants, shopping districts and the historical squares. The apartment had all the amenities so it was great not worrying about little things to bring with us. We would absolutely stay here again!

Absolutely perfect!

We loved this property! The location was perfect! Check-in was easy. It was very clean. The beds were comfortable. Cute outside courtyard and parking onsite for one car. We will definitely be back! Thanks so much!

Scores high on all aspects

Superb location. Very clean and spacious. Easy access. Management were so good to allow us amend our travel dates. We were there with two teenagers who loved the place. Helping to find the turn into the parking alley might be improved on property map, its just past parking garage entrance. Drive around the block if you miss it. (the alley is one-way system). Then the parking is super and reserved for your unit .

My wife and I first came to Savannah in 2005. We sold a small rental home we owned in Peachtree City, GA and decided to re-invest in a rental home along the eastern coast. The search was on and it started in Savannah and we worked our way up past Charleston. At the end of the search we came to the realization that we love the look the feel and the general laid back vibe of Savannah.

In general I would say that our top ten reasons of why we love Savannah are below:

10) The low country waterways and the smell of the marsh
9) The proximity to the ocean and all the tributaries
8) Fishing and time on the water
7) The Downtown and all the parks
6) The history of Savannah
5) The hauntings and the stories/myths that lie behind the fables
4) Traveler drinks – Solo cups and alcoholic beverages can be taken for a stroll anywhere in the downtown vicinity
3) SCAD – the fact that the whole downtown also is vibrant with students
2) The Pubs and Bars
1) The many fabulous restaurants

Although it is historic it has been updated to a modern hotel and when you enter you will feel like it is your new home away from home. Each unit offers a full kitchen and a salon for hanging with friends. As much as you will enjoy the amenities offered within Oglethorpe Lodge you truly appreciate your location. Centrally located on Bay Street in the heart of Savannah's historic district and Savannah's Riverwalk. When you leave the lodge you can easily stroll to the majority of what Downtown Savannah has to offer.
