We stayed there for three weeks with our two teenager and loved it.
Great location, right on the beach, steps away to restaurants, bike rentals and shops.
Loved to watch the sun set from the small balcony. Great grill.
The two bedrooms were small, the beds too and not very comfortable.
Very reasonably priced. The management very helpful and prompt. The unit was upstairs and my children and I loved the balcony and the sunsets we saw from it. The sand was perfect distance, one sidewalk away, for volleyball, badminton, and all the fun sand games. The water was perfect distance, not too far. Fun shopping and restaurants all within walking distance. We took a whale watching tour with the dock just blocks away. Way fun, saw three whales and scores of dolphins up close. It had all the amenities we needed and was reasonably clean. Loved the parking garage made it so easy to come and go as we pleased.
This unit is right on the beach, and was one of the least expensive options to stay right on the beach at the time that we booked. With that said, we were very happy with it and would definitely recommend it. It came with paddle ball, which was a nice addition, and had all of the amenities you'd need on vacation. Only issues - pull out couch is incredibly uncomfortable and hard to sleep on (keep this in mind if you have more than 4 staying). The bathrooms are also very outdated and neither shower was very good.
We stayed at this unit in mid June and were lucky to have sun everyday (no June gloom). The unit is upstairs facing the beach and has a nice balcony that our two boys loved to use. They would wave at all the people as they went by on the boardwalk. This unit is right on the beach and boardwalk which is perfect, but it is a huge beach area and a bit of a walk to the water. There is a sidewalk nearby that takes you most of the way so you aren't trudging through the sand for too much of the walk. Restaurants are nearby and the Balboa Pier along with the Fun Zone that our kids loved. We also took the ferry over to Balboa Island and walked around one evening. This is all within walking distance. The unit we stayed in was very nice (Unit B). The owner just recently bought the place and has been fixing it up. It was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. There is garage parking which is wonderful considering how hard it is to park in this area.
My family and I had a great time staying at this property. It was clean and updated inside with plenty of space. Location was great for anything you wanted to do- shopping, biking, the fun zone on the Pier and great restaurants are all within a short walking distance. The view of the ocean was awesome from the patio and property's location had quick and easy beach access. We had a great time.
The only downfall was the apartment across from this one had a roof access patio that is right over the master bedroom. It could get a little loud above the bedroom but its the beach!
The owner and property manager were very helpful and the rental process was quite smooth and easy. I would defiantly recommend this property.
