We stayed in Pemberton House for a month, and could not have chosen better. The owners are very attentive and even left us yummy snacks, a cheese tray, and a bottle of bubbly. The house is light, bright, and was comfortable for my family.
Superb location to all of Austin, with plenty a good restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, and watering hole very close.
We will be back next summer!
Our visit to Austin, Texas was wonderful while we stayed at this lovely town home. It was beautifully decorated and well maintained. It has two nice bedrooms upstairs and each have their own bathroom. The master bedroom is quite lovely with it's own private deck.
The downstairs has a wonderful open kitchen and dining area. A nice little patio off from kitchen is private and great for enjoying afternoon glass of wine.
The living room area has a nice view of the outside. And feels so relaxing in the tranquil setting.
The neighborhood is quiet and yet so close to area walking trails and for taking in a few local sights and restaurants!
The owners were exceptionally accommodating with providing us with tips about local events and key places to visit during our stay in Austin.
We would certainly recommend this getaway gem.
We spent a week in this lovely home with our daughter and son in law. The house had everything we could need, including freshly ground coffee, wine, cheese, crackers, and fruit awaiting us after a long day of air travel. It is plenty big enough for two couples, with its two master suites. It met all expectations and then some. It was very neat and clean, well furnished with beautifuk art works and obviously well cared for. The owners are considerate but not intrusive. They provided information about nearby places to visit, places to eat, and things to do. The neighborhood is a great residential area with access to lots of green space. It is easy to access much of Austin quickly. We especially enjoyed Texas French Bread where we had excellent dinners as well as morning cappuccino and pastries every day.We visited Austin to attend the Formula 1 Grand Prix events and race, and we would do it all again in a heartbeat, especially if we could stay here.
First off let me say we loved this location. The house is located not far from downtown Austin. It has quick access to the Shoal Creek Trail that is ideal for running or walking. You can follow the trail all the way to downtown. If trail walking isn’t for you then you can take a leisurely stroll down Wooldridge Drive and take in the many beautiful homes in the Pemberton Heights area. Of particular interest is the Pemberton castle that is just a short walk down the street.
While the unit is not huge it has an open floor plan. The downstairs is one room which gives the kitchen and eating area the feel of something much larger. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need. A powder room and washer and dryer completes the space. It has a polished concrete floor which not only looked good but was low maintenance and very easy to clean. The ground floor had a 10-foot ceiling with many windows that let in a lot of natural lighting. It was very comfortable and plenty of room for the two of us.
The second level has 2 bedrooms. Both rooms have a queen size bed and its own private bathrooms. The master bedroom is spacious with a small walk out deck, spacious walk-in closet, lovely bathroom and large windows that make the room bright and airy. The 2nd bedroom has its own bathroom and plenty of closet space.
The owners lived next door and were very responsive to any concerns we had. We would highly recommend this unit to anyone looking for accommodations in Austin.
My husband and I and our two dogs just spent six weeks at this terrific townhouse in central Austin. I agree with everything the previous review said and would emphasize the lovely accommodations and easy to work with owners. We have rented through vrbo all over the country and this was one of our best experiences. Although there were only two of us, the home would easily accommodate four people with two master suites upstairs. The weather was too cool to sit outside, but there is a nice covered patio and private fenced in courtyard which our dogs loved. The location is hard to beat with plenty of good inexpensive restaurants nearby and top notch places just two miles into the city center. Access to MoPac is easy too which is a big advantage if you want to head to the malls or out to the Hill Country. If you're looking to spend time in Austin for work or play, I would highly recommend the Pemberton Heights townhome.
We spent a pleasant month here. Brand new, attractive and comfortable, it’s not just a convenient rental, but a home away from home. Quiet, great location – it invites walks in one of Austin’s loveliest old neighborhoods as well as on the near-by hike-and-bike trail. An easy drive to good restaurants, Central Market and the University.
The architect and builder owners were most accommodating without being intrusive – they care to make their tenant’s stay comfortable. We’d recommend it to anyone – although the long staircase to the upstairs bedrooms (while carpeted) might be daunting to some.
