My husband and I had a great time at Harrys place. We ate our way up and down ashford Ave, with all the great restaurants in the area. Went to old San Juan played tennis at Marriott and public courts we also used the Marriott facilities. We looked at real estate while we were there that's how much we liked it. We will return to continue our real estate research Thanks so much Harry for letting us rent you place for such an affordable price. My best John and Rachel

Felt at home.

Thank you to Harry and Aida. We felt at home which was the best part. Everbody that lived or stayed at Ashford Imperial were very friendly. 1 block from the beach. Let me tell you how awesome that is. Walking distance from anything you could ever want from a vacation. I will definitely stay at Harrys again. My family loved our stay. Thank you again.

DISAPOINTED

I BOOKED THIS APARTMENT THROUGH VRBO FOR MY FIRST TIME IN PR. WE COMMUNICATED WITH THE OWNER RIGHT B4 ARRIVING TUE AUG 3RD & GAVE HIM MY FLGT INFO & ARRIVAL TIME. HE SENT ME THE CONTACT INFO. FOR ONCE I ARRIVE & WHERE THE KEYS WOULD BE. LETS START WITH THE ARRIVAL & THE KEYS; WHILE THERE IS SECURITY IN THE BLDG, THEY WERE NOT AWARE OF OUR ARRIVAL THAT NIGHT& WE HAD TO WAIT TILL THE GUARD CAME BACK FROM HIS ROUNDS FOR SOMEONE TO OPEN THE MAIN DOORS TO LET US IN. THE KEY DID NOT OPEN THE DOORS & WE SHOULD HAVE ALSO HAD THE GARAGE REMOTE CONTROL AVAILABLE TO US HOWEVER WE DID NOT GET IT TILL A COUPLE OF DAYS AFTER WE CONTACTED THE MNGR. SHE SAID EVERRYTHING SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE APT. BUT INSTEAD IT WAS WITH SECURITY, WAS ALSO SURPRISED THAT THE KEY HAD NOT BEEN UPDATED TO THE NEW SYSTEM. ARRIVED LATE & WENT TO BED & DID NOT LOOKED AT THE APT. THE NEXT DAY WE COULD SEE THAT THE APARTMENT WAS DIRTY & NOT CLEANED IN A WHILE. THE KITCHEN UTENSILS WHERE DIRTY & SOME HAD RUST & COULD NOT BE USED. BATHROOMS SHOWER MAT WAS DISGUSTING GROUT WAS DIRTY & REQUIRED CLEANING. CLOSET HAD A BROKEN MOP (NO BROOM)& THE CEILING WAS DISGUSTING, THE APARTMENT HAD A STRONG SMELL OF MILDEW. THE BALCONY HAD PLASTIC FURNITURE THAT WAS ALSO DISGUSTING & NOT CLEANED IN WHAT IT LOOKED LIKE A LONG WHILE. WE CALLED THE MANAGER ASAP & ARRANGED FOR HER TO COME AND TAKE A LOOK. SHE SAID SHE THOUGHT THAT IT HAD BEEN CLEANED &ADMITTED THAT SHE DID NOT CHECK IT BEFORE WE CAME IN BECAUSE SHE WAS DEALING WITH SOME FAMILY AS WELL AS HEALTH ISSUES. SHE OFFERED TO HAVE IT CLEANED WHILE WE WHERE THERE AND WE SAID NO AS WE DID NOT WANT INDIVIDUALS IN THE APARTMENT WHILE WE WHERE OUT AND WE CERTAINLY WHERE NOT GOING TO STAY THERE WHILE THEY CLEANED INSTEAD OF ENJOYING OUR TRIP. WE POINTED OUT EVERYTHING THAT WAS DIRTY INCLUDING THE BATHROOM MAT AND SHE SAID SHE WOULD TAKE THAT OUT. I MUST ADMIT THAT THE LINENS AND TOWELS DID NOT LOOKED CLEAN BU SHE ASSURED US SHE WAS THE ONE WASHING THEM (WE BROUGH IN THE STORE WHILE THERE). I EMAILED & CALLED THE OWNER & EXPLAINED EVERYTHING ASAP BEFORE ANY MORE TIME PASSED AND THE ONLY RESPONSE WE GOT WAS “I WILL MAYBE GIVE YOU A CREDIT ON A FUTURE STAY” AS IF I WANTED TO STAY THERE AGAIN. WHILE I WAS NOT LOOKING FOR A CURRENT “DISCOUNT” OR A FUTURE DISCOUNT I HAD PAID A CLEANING FEE THAT I FEEL SHOULD HAVE BEEN REFUNDED TO ME ASAP SINCE THE PLACE WAS DIRTY. I HAD OTHERWISE A GREAT TIME VISITING PR, I FEEL THAT MY FIRST TIME WAS SOMEWHAT SPOILED BY THIS.

Resposta do proprietário: Firstly, the customer's situation was extremely concerning and a response with an apology, a promise of an investigation and an offering of a discount was immediately made. An immediate investigation, via phone followed by a personal meeting with the manager/cleaning lady and building administrator was conducted. The investigation revealed that some renovation work in the apartment above had indeed caused a leak resulting in some dampness. This had, unfortunately, gone unnoticed since it occurred after the last cleaning and inspection of the apartment and prior to the customer's arrival. According, to the manager, a couple of the towels and floor mat did indeed have bleach stains but were clean. Two of the utensils had some minor rust but there were plenty of utensils available in the draw. The manager also offered a cleaning fee refund and to immediately clean the room, which was declined. As is customary, although as it turned out unfortunate for this customer, the security guard was making his rounds at the time of this customer's arrival and the keys were not immediately available. This situation was highly unusual and unfortunate, particularly for the customer, who arrived late and tired. Consequentially, inspections of the apartment will now occur just prior to all future arrivals to minimize any inconveniences to our customers. Please note that all previous reviews have been extremely positive and that many customers have returned. Enjoy the Condado area and all your future travels. Sincerely, Harry Santiago
