Can’t Beat That View!
We stayed at The Spice of Life for one week with 4 adults and 2 4 y/os. Ms. B was there to meet us upon arrival & to show us around. The house was a perfect size and fit for the 6 of us. The kids shared a room & bathroom, and each couple had their own room and bathroom. The open concept living room/dining room area is beautiful and spacious. We loved having a foosball table too! The air conditioning in the rooms at night was nice, but there's also often a nice breeze that helped to cool things down a bit. There were plenty of beach towels and bathroom towels and all of the kitchen necessities that you need to cook at the house. There is not a dishwasher so you do have to be prepared to wash your own.
The best part of the house is the view! It really is spectacular and sitting on the patio with a coffee each morning was the highlight of my day! The kids loved the pool and it was clean and a great size.
The location is a close drive to the airport, Grand Anse Beach, and local grocery stores (Rams was our go-to). It's also walking distance(ish) to several restaurants - the Secret Harbour Hotel restaurant (loved, went several times), Amara's (great falafel wrap and service!), Spice Affair, West Indies Beer Company - and the smaller Lance Aux Epines Beach, which also has a restaurant/bar on it. We rented a car and drove most places, since the house is up a steep hill, and we had toddlers in tow, but it would be possible to walk to all of those places.
