I recommend this apartment highly. Having a driver pick us up and drop us off was great. One less thing to worry about. The driver greeted us at the airport and than came to pick us up on time for the train station. The manager greeted us upon our arrival and showed us around. He was very helpful. The location was fabulous. Close to metro, restaurants and shops. Loved looking out the window at the beautiful plaza and cafes. Absolutely loved it. Cant wait to visit Paris again and stay in this apartment.
Great location, many shops and restaurants. The only thing I have to say is that I wish we would of been informed that they were remodeling the stairways. This was our first vrbo rental and we walked into a stripped stairway our hearts sank for a second, but once we opened the door into the apartment it was great. Over all we had an amazing time in Paris and in this apartment!
Totally would stay again and recommend.
We were 2 couples who stayed for a week and loved the location on a small plaza near many intimate shops and restaurants. Having a bathroom for each couple was critical for us. There is a large food store nearby if you want to enjoy your meals at the apt. which has all the cooking necessities. The manager was helpful, met us on arrival and even made a restaurant reservation for us. We very much appreciated the on-time pick up and delivery to the airport which is included in the rental rather than figuring out the RER (train). There is much light and you can open a window or two and listen as though in an outdoor restaurant while having dinner. There is a slight challenge going up the wooden stairs but once the luggage is away on the second floor(3rd floor in the US) it is very easy access. The apt is located about 4-5 blocks from the Seine so after dinner you can wander to the River, take a boat ride or watch the people. ON the weekends there is an enormous street market which we enjoyed. Bottom line- we would rent again.
My sister and our young adult daughters spent a week at the Smith apartment. The location is perfect and the accomodations were both comfortable and charming. There are food shops, open air markets and cafes, all easily accessible to the property. There is alot of activity in the vicinity - families, students and older residents - it is an authentic neighborhood. We very much felt like residents as opposed to tourists. We were also very close to two metro stops so we were easily able to dart all over Paris, visiting museums and various landmarks. We would definitely return.
I know that every apartment in Paris says that there is a charming market nearby and that you are only a few steps from someplace, but this rental is for real. For one thing, there are actually two markets nearby on Sunday and the rue mouffetard leading to one of them is a delight. The Place de la Contrescarpe below your windows is alive with actual Parisians enjoying themselves (though it is true that they enjoy themselves well into the wee hours on weekends).
The apartment is spacious and well decorated with excellent light, a compact but extremely functional kitchen and the bedrooms and baths are well appointed. The apartment manager was there to greet us and took excellent care to explain not only all the features of the apartment but of the neighborhood as well. She stressed her availability in case of problems, of which we had no need. The owners have taken the time to provide wonderful information on restaurants, shops, etc.
The fact that transfers to and from DeGaulle which are included in the price makes the stay not only very easy for someone coming across the Atlantic, it makes the price an absolute steal. My wife and I and the couple with whom we shared the week in Paris agreed that this was a wonderful rental.
We rented this apartment for the month of June and the apartment itself is very nice. We had a few problems initially with wi-fi, phone, laundry, etc. The owner tried to help but it took awhile to sort out and it was very inconvenient for us during that time. The apartment is in a great, central location but please know that it is a noisy neighborhood because of the restaurants and bars. The ambiance is fun & lively but if you are a light sleeper you might not be happy here as the noise goes until late in the night. The staircase up to the apartment is a nightmare and should be condemned but we were told “that is Paris!” All that being said we recommend the apartment and the location, and it is a wonderful place to call home while in Paris.
