Everything promised and more

The property is all it is advertised to be and more. It is even more appealing in person than the pictures make it appear.Everything is exactly as advertised with the additional benefit that all of the 'incidentals' are provided. It is so nice to show up and not have to worry about small items forgotten. The place is attractive and well maintained. We would not hesitate to rent it again.

Lake L.B.J. Getaway

This house was the perfect get away. We had 9 adults stay at this house, and had a GREAT time. The house comes equipped with everything that you need. I would highly recommend staying here. We look forward to our next trip to LBJ so we can stay again.

Needs a manager that pays more attention to maintenance.

Let me begin by saying this is basically a very nice property - plenty of space, updated kitchen appliances, very well-equipped kitchen. However, the house is obviously almost 50 years old, and houses of that age need fairly vigilant maintenance. When we arrived with our RV, which we had been told there was plenty of space for, we found a downed line that looked like an electric or telephone line across the gate into the area. We called the manager, and she told us to "just move it out of the way." We asked what it was, and were told not to worry about it. We requested she have someone deal with it, which she eventually, grudgingly, did. Then we found that the trees in the area had not been trimmed and were hanging too low to avoid scraping our RV, and moreover, most of the space could not be used because of some issue with the septic system. Then we found that the door from the garage into the house could not be locked; we asked that it be fixed, and again after some argument someone was sent to do the fix. Light bulbs in various rooms were burned out and no replacements were supplied. Four of the eight exterior light fixtures were inoperable. The shower faucet in the master bath would not turn far enough to provide hot water. Again, when reported, first a handyman was sent who could not fix it, and then, reluctantly, a plumber (we think) was sent out to fix it - and also found that the faucet in the lavatory was not fastened in, in addition to the shower problem. Finally, there were many massive ant beds in the yard, which were a danger to our small dogs and would be a danger to children. After the reception our other reports received, we went out and bought ant bait and treated them ourselves. If the owners had a more observant, active manager, none of these things should have been an issue, even with an older house. None of these things were huge issues, but they did not contribute to a pleasant stay.

This site erroneously stated we stayed in January 2018; we actually staying from January through March 2018.

Great Yard for the Dogs

We stayed over Christmas 2017. The yard was huge and wonderful and we had fun kayaking right from the backyard. The yard was totally fenced and even our one escape artist dog didn't get out. One really nice perk was the two car garage with garage door opener. When we arrived it was cold and raining and it was so nice to unload the car in a warm dry place. It was also nice to have an out of the way place to store boxes and coolers once we unloaded. We didn't use the loft but it was so cute and bright. It would be a delight to kids. Each of the downstairs bedrooms had sliding doors to the deck. Both rooms were comfortable and there were plenty of blankets, pillows and towels. The living room had lots of windows with plenty of light even on a rainy day. We enjoyed watching the ducks and herons in the park across the water. The town of Marble Falls was only about 10 minutes away for groceries and any other needs. Longhorn Cavern and Inks Lake are close by for hiking, etc. The manager, Carol, was very easy to work with and answered any of our questions or requests immediately. Our security deposit was also refunded promptly.

Nice getaway

Overall the house was wonderful. It is spacious and full of light and air. The kitchen is well equipped and beds are clean and comfortable. The grassy lawn is expansive, lush, and the entire place is well kept. No complaints at all with the property itself. The next-door neighbors back of house faces this property and they have a lot of boats and equipment stored in view of the main deck but it is not trashy.

SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

This property is a place we visit frequently. If you just want a get away, it offers a very quite secluded surrounding. It is a real vacation for our dogs, we have a golden doodle and a standard poodle they really enjoy the enormous fenced yard. We have taken our grandson and he caught his first fish off the boat dock and many more. He also saw his first deer up close and personal!!! Just a short walk is a very nice park offering a good time for the little ones. The kitchen offers most of what you need, although like anyone I take my own crock pot, pressure cooker things like that. We have had Thanksgiving Dinner at this home. It is located close to everything, HEB, restaurants, shopping, etc. Sometimes we eat out every meal and never use the kitchen. There is a boat landing just across the water from the house, you can actually throw a rock across the water, that is how close it is to put a boat in the water, so if you choose to bring your own boat that is very convenient. There is plenty of room in back of the house to tie you boat to, and a large gate to the yard to park the trailer during your stay. Then there is the manager Carol, there is no one better - she is very accommodating! You will love this place...
