Little Palm is the third house we have rented in our eight years of vacationing at SGI. We won't need to change houses again. We love the view, the porches, the pool, the well-equipped kitchen, the layout of the house. The bedroom arrangements allow each couple to have privacy. The abundance of windows and glass doors in the living area make even rainy days a lot of fun. The view from the porch is special: dolphins, pelicans, gulls, swimmers, kayakers, fishermen and even skateboarders and bikers. Also love the rockers on the porch. When we arrive, my daughter says, "We're home."
Best pool area for family fun and dinners. The house was nicely furnished and cozy! Our family enjoyed all the comfortable furniture on the deck. The view was fantastic. The one thing really missing is an outdoor shower, It was a wonderful week at Little Palm!!!
We hadn't been to St. George Island for 20 years; and what I remembered most about that trip was sitting on an empty beach and watching dolphins play in the surf. We again had an opportunity to return to St. George Island, this time with our 2 1/2 year old son. The first day we walked out onto an empty beach, and again saw dolphins playing in the surf. It was wonderful and relaxing, and it seemed as though this part of Florida hadn't changed much at all.
The Little Palm beach house was a big part of what made our trip special. The house was beautifully decorated, but in a very comfortable way. And there were little labels in some key places to help guests remember how to take care of the house (e.g., "No grease down the drain, this is a septic", and "This door needs an extra push" on the French double-door refrigerator, and "Turn off the lights at night for the sea turtles"). It made us smile. The open floor plan also helped us keep tabs on our little one, and gave us a great view of the beach from the porch.
I'm sure there is a load of stuff to do on St. George... but all we did was enjoy the beach and cook in. If you're looking to just hang out at the beach, and return to a comfortable, well-appointed home in the evening to cook dinner and share stories, Little Palm is a great option.
My family has vacationed in this home two years in a row now. My children refer to it as "our beach house". We love the very short walk to the beach, clean house and beautiful pool. The view from the porch has made many memories of building legos, eating breakfast and reading. Lynne is always very informative and helpful! Thank you for the wonderful memories!
Thanks for another wonderful vacation at Little Palm! Our family had a great time with excellent weather and your home is the perfect spot to enjoy St. George. It is so very comfortable and it had everything we needed. We enjoyed our quick walk to the beach each day and the comfort of having a beautiful pool to come back to in the late afternoon. Our family was so happy at Little Palm and we are very selective about our vacation spots. We give Little Palm our highest recommendation!
My wife and I truly enjoy staying at the Little Palm. We find our time there to be very relaxing and peaceful. We find that sitting on the porch in the late afternoon and early morning to be the best part of the day. The dolphin are passing by and the the dove are cooing and we can just sit and totally relax. The house has everything you need for a great stay and with the full kitchen we find that boiling some fresh shrimp with a great bottle of wine to be better than dinning out. We enjoy the beach in the middle of the day and the pool at cocktail hour. The house is not the Ritz Carlton but that is not what we are looking for when stay here. It's nice to have a place that is genuine and not snobbish. We have stayed there for numerous years and i must say that the house and it's furniture are showing some wear and could use some refurbishing. Hopefully that will be completed before our next stay.

Varandas, Cafe Leche, BJs Pizza & Subs, The Blue Parrot (beira-mar), The Hut, The Indian Pass Raw Bar ....
