The apartment has central air conditioning and heat. It has a fully equipped kitchen with a ceramic stove, refrigerator with water and ice, pots and pans, baking trays, cooking utensils, salad bowls,dishes and cutlery.
It has separate dining and living room areas. The dining room has patio doors opening out to the front balcony over the water.
The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, night tables, a full dresser,mirror and clothes closet.
The apartment has an upper deck with a Tiki roof over a picnic table and gas BBQ. The front balcony has a small table and chairs and is a favorite place for guests to gather with a glass of wine to watch the sunset or the stars. It also overlooks the dock , boatslips and a waterside deck on which there are comfortable deck chairs and a hammock under the palms.(see photo) This is a great place to relax with a book.
There is a swim ladder at the end of one pier and steps into the water in one of the boat slips.
You may use the washer and dryer and a pressure washer and tools found in the breezeway.
View: Waterfront directly on Florida Bay, facing west, protected from the cool north winds. Spectacular sunsets - rivaling those at Key West . The elusive 'green flash' has been seen on several occasions. You may be lucky! (Our son-in-law sailed around the world and never saw one until he came to CKL.)
Activities on site and nearby:
Fishing from boats, bridges or from the dock. Charter fishing from Conch Key or Marathon, snorkeling or scuba diving from Looye Key, bicycling over the bridges or on the bicycle paths. Marine life and bird viewing. Jetski rentals nearby. Close to the Dolphin Research Centre (swim with the dolphins), Theater of the Sea (Islamorada). Four nearby beaches (although the Keys are not renowned for this) - Anne's,Curry Hammock Park, Coco Plum and Sombrero. Drive over the famous Seven Mile Bridge to beautiful Bahia Honda State Park. And then, of course, spend a day at Key West.
