Desfrute de uma fogueira na fogueira Monster ou assistir o pôr do sol, enquanto desfruta de uma garrafa de vinho nas 32 pés blindados deck.
Our group of seven friends felt right at home here and didn't want to leave. The home was spacious with enough space for all of us to sleep comfortably and have easy access to bathrooms. The main living room/dining room/kitchen area was perfect for gathering to make meals, visit and play games. The kitchen was well-equipped so we were able to follow through on the menus we had planned without a hitch. We also enjoyed the large screened-in porch and fire pit for getting in our outdoor time. Each fun-filled day was topped off by an evening soak in the hot tub. We couldn't have asked for a more complete offering.
We did pull ourselves away from the house for one day. Lake Michigan was so close we had to get there. It was a quick drive west and then we headed north on Blue Star Highway along the shoreline. We stopped in West Side County Park to walk the beach before we went to Douglas and Saugatuck. In Douglas, we stopped at the Wild Dog Grille for a pint and delicious bite to eat before wandering through the many shops there. Next time we will definitely want to build in time to visit some of the wineries in the area and the Saugatuck Brewing Company, too.
Through the entire process of requesting a booking, securing it and finalizing our plans, Jeff was responsive, friendly and helpful. All in all, our group would highly recommend this location for your future vacation or getaway.
Jeff, Your property was just like everyone that reviewed it said "Wonderful!" The house is spacious and well organized. Everything in your house is 1st class. The porch and the view are the focal point. Not only is there plenty of room and comfort, but to sit there with a drink and enjoy the view, would be something I would never get tired of. I met your neighbor at his pond, and we had a nice conversation. It's a pleasure being there and everyone was very happy with it. Thank you for letting us rent your house, I really can"t think of anything that I thought you could improve, except when the air conditioning was on, the lower level basement seemed sort of cold. The family members that stayed down there seemed to like it. Anyway thanks again for making our trip great! Maybe we"ll be back in the near future. Sincerely, Dennis Manyak.
Our family has now enjoyed two summers vacations at this beautiful, secluded property and both have been fabulous. We initially chose this home from a list of properties that would accept pets, as we needed a place where our "granddogs" could come along. We also needed a property that would accommodate three generations, with enough privacy for all, while still having plenty of togetherness. Our choice did not disappoint.
The property is located near the tiny town of Pullman, which sports a yummy, small town pizza place and a little corner market. The house is clean and well appointed with everything for the kitchen, s'mores sticks for the fire-pit, clean linens and even shower products. There is a winery, an orchard, and blueberry picking within ten minutes drive and we enjoyed them all.
We would drive to either Saugatuck or South Haven daily, or sometimes twice a day, for the beaches, boutique shopping and dinner. The enjoyment that came from the spacious, wooded property and all its amenities more than makes up for the drive back and forth. We closed most nights enjoying conversation and beverages around the fire-pit. Our young grandchildren enjoyed catching fish in the pond (we brought our own little people poles) and throwing them back in, watching the fountain erupt, and adventuring through wooded paths. One day we had "kids day" and drove to Saint Joseph (about an hour drive) to the Children's Museum and carousel. It was worth the trip!
About an hour into the drive home this year, my daughter realized that she had left behind an entire dresser full of their family's clothes. Jeff very kindly packed it up and mailed it directly to her. I had told him to please deduct the cost from the deposit refund, but my entire deposit was refunded with no deduction for shipping these items. Thanks Jeff!!! We will definitely be back : )
We loved being able to make breakfast there for our group. We grilled one night with the big grill they provided. That was a huge success. There was a place to have a campfire to make s'mores and just enjoy the fire for the one evening we did not go out to the local restaurants to eat.
The big screened in porch was used a lot while we were there. I would have loved to have a rocker on the porch.
We were there during blueberry season. It was the first time some of my family members ever went blueberry picking.
The teenagers really enjoyed the combination pool table and air hockey table. I used the weight machine a little bit, but it seemed to stick some of the time. We enjoyed the birds and the sound of nature at night. We looked at the stars and heard the owls while we tried to watch for shooting stars.
The inside of the house was so roomy and comfortable. We all felt that we could have some privacy when we wanted it. I liked that they had their things that we were not to use locked up. I know other places we have been does that.
We liked feeding the fish and listening to the fountain when it was running.
All in all, we would have liked to have more time to stay there. IT went way too fast!
We are a large group spanning three generations. The house could easily accommodate all of us. The little ones especially enjoyed feeding the fishes in the pond. We hung out of the porch watching the birds and squirrels bug-free!
We had a great time visiting the nearby cities for day trips, and spending the evenings on the deck grilling then down to the fire pit or hot tub. The house offers plenty of space and places to eat. The fire pit is large and offers a great spot to talk and relax, same as the hot tub. The screened in deck was great even in warmer weather.
