Very clean, well maintained cottage. Owner was easy to work with and very accomodating. The location was excellent - close to quaint town of Glen Arbor, Sleeping Bear Dunes, restaurants, shops, and many outdoor activities. We have recommended this cottage to family, and will definitely look into booking this rental again ourselves. Had a great time!
This rental was perfect for my husband and me - a clean and comfortable cabin with everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked, there was plenty of towel racks/closet space, and lots of lighting to keep it bright in the evening - something we find lacking in a lot of rentals. The only downside was we had to space our showers apart by about an hour in order to have hot water - but not a big deal. We'll stay here again the next time we come to explore the Sleeping Bear area.
Very nice cabin and clean. No surprises-- everything was as pictured and better.
Close to everything and very comfortable. Owners are super nice people. Would highly recommend ( in fact we did already) We would come back again in a heratbeat!!
This is a wonderful cabin. All the amenities are there as listed. It was perfectly clean and very well-maintained. The owner is very nice to work with and made it easy for us to make all the necessary arrangements. The cabin is just a stone's throw from Little Glen Lake and is nestled up against a hill under very nice, mature trees. We loved walking down to the little restaurant at the foot of the hill just off the bridge between Little Glen and East Glen Lake for breakfast. I would recommend this property to anyone wishing to savor and explore northern Michigan. We liked it so much we're going again in a few days.
We are two young families with one kid in each family (a baby and a toddler). The cottage is very small and very simple, but provides all the basics. It was quite tight, but manageable for us. The furniture and appliances are old, but the toilet room is new and clean. Nice parts are that it has a nice size and shady common yard with the nearest houses, that we used for ball games and badminton or small children can run around. This house is one of the closest to lake, so if you sit with your face to the lake you don't see much of the neighbors. At the time of our stay, most of the neighbors were older people, so it was very quite (probably, except of us :-), so when the babies needed to sleep, they could in the stroller outside, while we could relax in the chairs outside looking at the lake. The house is on the lake, but the fact that I didn't get somehow from the description and pictures is that there is a road in between the house and the lake, which isn't too bad though - not very heavy traffic, but still... The lake on that side where house is located is very shallow (about to your knees) - very nice for babies and toddlers, not so for older kids and adults (you actually can not swim there, you can take sun baths though), but in about 5-10 minutes drive there are several very nice beaches on lake Michigan and inner lakes, very beautiful. In general the location of the house is very nice - close to dunes and beaches, lots of things to do and see. The bottom line - nice plus and probably worth the money.
