I visit the islands regularly with my family and usuallly opt for one of the condos or villas on the island. This time around, we opted for one of the luxury estates and Catch a Wave fit the bill in ways we couldn't have imagined. Guest reception at the airport was exceptional. Although I know my way around the island, Joan was very helpful. She pointed out all amenities and services that we weren't aware of.
Now, the facilities were premier class all the way. Nestled overlooking the Buccaneer golf course, the property is close to everything: Buccaneer beach, Shoys beach are within walking distance. The property is in a secure, gated community and a few minutes puts you near grocery stores and other restaurants. The estate is well manicured. The home sports a grand piano and many books to peak one's interest. I received quite a history lesson through the art by Dove. The online pictures do not do this place justice. This is the only way to stay.
The pictures didn't do justice to the experience. This house experience made the stay very satisfying while the ironman race wasn't stisfying. We had rain everyday but indoors at "Catch a Wave" more than made up for the weather.
The Shoy Beach nearby was spectacular and it should be mentioned as something for guests to experience.
For race participants, this is close enough to bike to the race on race day. Directly across the golf course is where Lance Armstrong stayed for the race.
