This lovely vacation apartment is in the charming old town of Beaucaire, gateway to Provence and the Camargue. Its large private terrace faces the Rhône River, with a view of the castle of Tarascon across the river in Provence. The terrace is partitioned into two sections. You have your own section with a large table that sits 8 people.

The handsome stone building was originally a rich merchant's mansion, named Hôtel du Luxembourg. Recently renovated, the apartment is quiet and sunny with 5 m high ceilings. It has three bedrooms, a living room, kitchen/dining room, home office (1 computer, broadband router and WI-FI), satellite TV from the UK and French cable TV. The terrace has a table for 8 and is a great place to relax over a meal or a glass of wine. It is within walking distance of all Beaucaire’s attractions, from the picturesque ruined castle to the lively canal promenade, as well as restaurants, cafes and shops. Only 15 km from Arles and 25 km from Avignon, Beaucaire is an ideal touring base from which to explore Provence, the Camargue and the Languedoc.

Nearby attractions include the Pont du Gard, Roman amphitheaters, castles, medieval villages, Van Gogh landscapes, open-air markets, horse-riding, gourmet food, wine-tasting and boating. Famous nearby attractions include Arles, St Remy de Provence, Avignon and Uzes.

Très satisfait,

Pratiquement 5 semaines ,aucun problème, appartement confortable et complet, cuisine bien fournie ,salle de bain avec machine à laver et sèche linge, grande chambre avec bonne literie. Salon avec télé, et bien plus. Garage couvert. Contact facile . Merci ata

Thrilled

We came to Beaucaire for my son's wedding. I chose this space because I wanted a large living space to gather my family. We had a bit of a hard time finding the home with our GPS. After that .... OMG! What an amazing place!! We were 5 , sometimes a few more family members ... it was like home. The kitchen is made to be used, the kitchen table is large enough for whomever more (lol), living room is great, 1.5 bathrooms, great terrace, comfortable room sizes, comfortable beds, great view, quiet, easy to get around ..... It's a real treasure and am thrilled to have spent our special time in this lovely home. Thank you!!

Wunderschönes Haus mit hübscher Wohnung und großer Terrasse

Wir waren als Familie in Beaucaire. Die Wohnung ist groß und hübsch und funktional eingerichtet. Es fehlt an nichts! Die große Terrasse mit dem Blick auf die Stadtmauer und Rhône ist wunderschön! Beaucaire selbst bietet viele Möglichkeiten zum Verweilen. Der Markt, die kleinen Bäcker- und Einkaufslädchen, der große Platz République gleich um die Ecke, der eine unglaublichr Gemütlichkeit ausstrahlt und seinen Schatten den riesigen Platanen zu verdanken hat, die Burg, die netten Lokale, der Hafen ... Auch der Ort Tarascon ist zu Fuß über die Rhône-Brücke schnell erreichbar. Das Château de Tarascon sollte man sich unbedingt anschauen. Wir haben in der schönen Wohnung eine gute Zeit verbracht. Ein kleiner Tipp noch: Wer sehr geräuschempfindlich ist, sollte sich etwas für die Ohren in der Nacht besorgen. Wir kommen gern mal wieder und haben die Wohnung auch unseren Freunden empfohlen. Auch der freundliche Empfang ist hier erwähnenswert. Unsere Fragen im Laufe des Aufenthaltes wurden per Telefon schnell beantwortet. Au revoir Beaucaire!

Perfect location and good value

This is the spot to explore Provence without paying too much. The apartment is comfortable and in a good location for this town. The castle is right down the road. Nimes, Arles, Avignon and so much more are a quick drive from Beaucaire. The waterfront area is beautiful and lively with some good places to eat and plenty of fresh bread and fine wines. We loved the twice a week market as well. The architecture along the narrow streets are amazing and history unfolds as you explore town and adjacent areas. The parking can be tricky but we found the free parking by the river convenient. The art work in the apartment is excellent and the wifi works well. Loved the great room and having one and a half baths helpful. We were told at first that the heat would not come on until Nov 2 or so, a couple of days before we would leave but somehow Dennis managed to find a portable heater and then the building turned on the heat - probably due to the temps in the forties F. We love France for fifteen nights we had a nice stay. Dennis helped whenever we called him. Also, nice to have a long distance phone free of charge (for land lines only.) Overall, we recommend the apartment for a good value in price.

Wine is also an important part of live in the Rhone valley. as a partner in a wine bar in New York, I have a special interest in sharing the wines of the Rhone Valley and I encourage our guests to contact me for advice about local wines and wineries to visit.

We love the spacious apartment and we especially love the terrace. Beaucaire is a fascinating ancient city, off the normal tourist track, located in the center of what we consider is the most interesting part of Provence.
