Cannon Point provided our family with a wonderful vacation week. I really only have great things to say regarding the house, location, access to the water, yard amenities, interior space, pool, hot tub,etc. The inside of the home is kind of a mixed bag and while we loved our week there are several things that future renters need to be aware of going into the rental. The house is not a state of the art, upgraded with all the latest amenities type of home but that is not what we were looking for. We wanted a place to unwind and relax and Cannon Point provided that. The house was almost perfect with the exception of a few little things that could be improved. The bed linens need updating, they are bleach stained and well worn which is slightly off putting. The outdoor furniture cushions are torn but their is an abundance of furniture so that is a bonus. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans but the cooking utensils could use replacement. None of this took away from the fabulous week we spent at the property. The owners were present but never ever intrusive. The property is expansive and absolutely amazing. Our children were never at a loss for something to do. We fished off the dock, we also had a boat rental for the week, we kayaked, swam, enjoyed the sunsets and nature that surrounds Cannon Point. We rented bikes- Coco Plum is ideal for biking. The location in Marathon is wonderful, peaceful, yet close to everything you need. We could not get over how much space we had in the home and the outside property. The house is well used and you can tell that lots of memories have been made here over the years and we are so happy to have made new memories here as well. Overall, our week at Cannon Point was fantastic.
Our group of 4 families stayed for a week in September. Patti was a great host and was always available for phone call or email leading up to our stay. On our arrival the owners were present to help us out with our boat. The local boat ramp is only 2 roads down and was a cheap $10 fee to use. We docked our boat in the slip with no problem, water is plenty deep. The home was big enough that our group never felt crowded and the separate 1 bedroom room next to the laundry room was perfect for the family who had little ones. The game room was perfect at night for the adults and the pool and spa were great for the kids. Everything was as described. The hot tub breaker tripped one night and the owner quickly fixed by the next morning; There was plenty of parking for our 4 vehicles and boat trailer. We had no issues with any Green line. The sunsets were perfect. Great location on Marathon. We were able to make trips to both Robbie's on Islamorada as well as Key West. I would highly recommend this home to any large group with children looking for the perfect keys vacation!
First, let me start with thanking Patty for ALWAYS answering our phone calls and emails leading up to our vacation. The home was everything she advertises it to be and more. We had 3 families in that house and we were never in each others way. The beds were very comfortable. The home is well stocked with towels, extra pillows, linens, cookware, laundry detergent, etc. The pool and spa were perfect. It was a little tight backing our boat trailer in the driveway, but the neighbors were happy to help us. Grill worked great. Plenty of seating inside and out. We saw sharks, barracuda, manatees, jellyfish, etc. from the dock. Beautiful sunsets too. Honestly, the only thing we would have liked to see is an industrial ice maker, but no big deal. We would highly recommend this rental home.
This place is in horrible need of maintenance and repairs. I don't even know where to start... all the beds sagged, black mold in the shower, obvious flood damage, floors dirty, cracked, and covered with stained rugs, mildew, old furniture (not antique), bugs, very dirty overall, yard desperately in need of fertilizer, and pesticide, wasps in the shore power box, pool filthy when we go there, had to buy our own toilet paper, tissues, and towels, hid the extra gas for the grills, instructed us to bring trash cans down to the street. Laundry rooms were supposed to be for our use, but the owners who are right next door and watching everything were using it for their clothes. We had to wait until they were done. We parked a foot over the green line in the driveway, not even knowing it was there, and they came out and yelled at us. Don't advertise all that parking space, then get mad when we use it. Some of the seawall was also off limits for another boat, not ours.
Last but not least, we came back unexpectedly during the day and found the owner in one of the bedrooms. We did not give them permission to come in, nor were we notified they would be entering the premise while we were out. They came in the side unit and turned off the fan, which had to be left on because the wall unit wasn't blowing very cold air. The door knob mysteriously fell off and they leave the keys out for everyone and anyone. The sliding glass door wouldn't lock either.
Owners would not provide a rental agreement either.
My Family had an awesome time, the pool was perfect for the 8 grand kids, the boat dock was also perfect. Patty was a wonderful host. we had no issues but if we did am sure she would have addressed it. Fishing was awesome, either off the seawall or in the canal that leads to the ocean. there was more than for everyone to relax and enjoy ourselves. will be booking another week for June 2016 and hopefully every year after that . Out overall impression of Cannon Point is that it is Perfect! 11 of us stayed there for the week of my daughter's wedding. Patty graciously allowed us to host the reception on her property! We loved the layout of the home, and the property. We do not have a single complaint, and hope to return in 2 years for a family vacation.

Na borda de mangue da propriedade são os meus condomínios de criação de lagosta. Eu contei 36 todos os tamanhos.
Da próxima vez eu mostrei meus convidados havia um monte de carcacas com cabeças faltando. Eu não podia culpá caçadores. Só então, uma pomba tubarão de enfermeira para os baby lagostas restantes e tudo que eu podia fazer era atirar pedras para ele. Mais tarde, pegamos o tubarão-enfermeiro, e comeu-o. Mas o problema é, há um outro que vivem no deslizamento de barco comer os cavalos-marinhos do bebê ou talvez o polvo foi o culpado. Eu preciso de você que as pessoas venham investigar para mim.
PS Os golfinhos são inocentes, eu assisti-los ao amanhecer e ao pôr do sol na alimentação isca de peixe ... lotes de isca de peixe. Pegue um caiaque, pequena rede de pesca e de cabeça para o lado do manguezal do CannonPoint Bay e recolher a sua própria isca de peixe. Nós adicionamos apenas um fabricante de gelo comercial para a passarela com freezer isca e a grade do gás. Tudo está aqui.
