This place was wonderful! The location was very convenient. The house is located is on a quiet residential street in Sillery; It was a short drive to Vieux Quebec and other locations.
The apartment was sunny, spacious, beautifully furnished, neat, and spotlessly clean. It was tastefully decorated and offered many amenities. There was even a fresh sunflower on the kitchen table to greet us. Patrice welcomed us and gave us some good information about what to see and where to go. He was helpful without being overbearing. The second day we were there, he brought us a homemade blueberry pie which he had made. (It was delicious!) We stayed here for seven nights, and it became a home away from home.
The kitchen is in a separate room, and the rest of the apartment is an open plan. Dining, living and sleeping spaces were defined by a nice arrangement of furnishings. There was lots of storage for clothing and suitcases. The kitchen was wonderful to work it. We ate most of our dinners in and found everything we needed to prepare and enjoy our meals, even a variety of wine glasses. Wi-fi was fast and trouble-free.
The rental fee was very reasonable—less than we would have paid for a hotel but with more amenities and much more space. We would definitely stay here again if we were in Quebec City and would recommend it to our friends.
We were completely satisfied with our choice. The apartment was well appointed, Patricia and Patrice were delightful and extremely helpful yet not imposing, and we enjoyed the relatively short interesting bus rides in and out of Old Quebec City. We look forward to visiting Quebec City again one day and would not hesitate to stay here again.
I am so nostalgic about my stay in this exquisite apartment. It was close to Laval University and the Archives where I was doing research so I could walk every time. Close also to two bus lines into Old Quebec. Very safe and walkable neighborhood. Close to restaurants and shops. Quiet, peaceful, lots of room for me and my traveling office of files and books. Fabulous bath and tub, and very comfortable bed. Lots of storage and nicely equipped kitchen. Patricia was so very helpful and lovely. I can't say enough about this place!
Loved Quebec City, especially our trips to the Old City. Had a wonderful spacious suite to stay. We called it home very quickly. It was clean, very comfortable, and very close to the Old city. The week we were Quebec City had their summer music festival and we had a great time. It was so nice to take in the music during the day go home and have a bit of down time and head out again. Nice quiet street and part of the city where we felt at "home" very quickly. The owners(hosts) were fabulous giving us ideas of how to spend the remaining days as we still had four days to go. They suggested down the St. Lawrence to Tadoussac which we did. We certainly were not disappointed with they're suggestions Thanks again.Patrice and Patricia. Patrice thanks for those croissants on our door knob as we woke up to our first morning. Splendid location, close to the routes heading into the old city. Fantastic place and would certainly stay here again!!!
My wife and I went up to Quebec for the weekend and stayed at this beautiful apartment near the center of Quebec. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood, which was quiet but with a nice shopping area nearby (especially the bakery!), and we ended up walking about 30 minutes to Old Quebec.
The apartment itself came with more than we bargained for. Everything in the kitchen was ready to go, and we cooked a couple of our meals at home. The bathroom is nice, the living room is very cozy; we almost missed going out because we were so comfortable inside!
I absolutely recommend this apartment to anybody traveling to Quebec!
We enjoyed everything about our Quebec visit....despite the sub zero temperatures, we ate well, enjoyed museums, spent New Years out on the Grand Allee with thousands of other revelers, rode the funicular, explored the Old Port Market...and always looked forward to returning to the warmth of Patricia and Patrice's apartment. The apartment was perfect for my husband, 2 teenage daughters and me. It is well outfitted, cute, cute, cute, amply spacious and bright. We enjoyed taking the 10-15 minute bus ride into Old Quebec - easy and a direct route from the apartment - and then were equally pleased to return to the quiet of the neighborhood. There are several bakeries just around the corner - one even offers health food options and gluten free ingredients. We went skiing one day - Le Relais - which was only 20 driving minutes away...People everywhere were very kind, easily moving between French and English and making us feel very welcome. We were mesmerized by the ice floes of the St. Lawrence and the ferries churning through the waters. We spent hours in the Musee de la Civilisation - great exhibits on Haiti, Quebec, and video games through the ages (very hands on). We enjoyed the Festival of Lights (a walking tour of illumination and music) as much as the holiday decorations that dressed up the city. We walked the promenade, marveled at the Hotel de Frontenac, rode the winter toboggin (in front of the Hotel de Frontenac). On the last full day of our visit, temperatures plunged to minus 26 so we missed the Plains of Abraham - huge regret...but we will return to explore Quebec in a different season. And we will definitely return to Patrice and Patricia's apartment. They were warm and welcoming hosts. We felt very much at home. Thank you. We look forward to our next visit.
