A lovely Old Florida renovated pet and family friendly private home, located on a private deep water canal with direct access to Sarasota Bay and only a short 3 minutes walk (200 meters) away from the quiet white sand beach perfect for morning beach-combing and end of day amazing golden sunsets. The house is surrounded by a well maintained natural garden, with owner & locally based maintenance team readily available to ensure your pleasant stay. The private pool is solar heated! The house come equip with everything you'll need for a home away from home like towels/linens, all kitchenware, board games, beach towels, beach toys, booggie boards, beach cart, bikes, scooters, game boards, etc.
Located in the prestigious yet laid back island of Longboat Key, you are near venues for golf, tennis, fishing, kayaking, boating, water skiing, and wind surfing. The world class shopping and restaurants in St. Armand Circle and laid back charms of Anna Maria Island are minutes away. A private pool is accessible from both the master and guest bedrooms. The deep salt water canal with a new dock can accommodate boats up to 27 ft. Our boat dock is available for docking your private boat or kayaks, or just for fishing enjoyment.

Our home comes completely equipped with everything you'll need for a beach holiday! During your stay here, you can enjoy our well kept garden or relax in our complete Tommy Bahamas furnished interior, which comes fully equipped with modern conveniences such as wireless internet (bring your own laptop), cable TV in living and master bedroom, phone line, a full library of DVD movies, Ihome for Iphone/Ipod/Ipad docks, board games, outdoor BBQ grill, and new cooling/heating system. The kitchen comes fully equipped for your culinary adventures or just simple grilling out on the new outdoor Weber gas grill. For your beach activities we have coolers, matching Tommy Bahamas' beach chairs and beach cart, 4 bicycles (1 adult and 2 kids), scooters, boogie boards, beach/pool toys/beach umbrellas. The pool is well maintained and has a weekly service. The home is tiled throughout (including garage), and updated appliances including washer and dryer make this property the ideal home away from home.

Comfortable beach house with a great pool

Property was as pictured: roomy, clean; beds very comfortable; bathroom shower great. We’ve previously rented homes with private pools in Longboat but the pool at this house was the best by far. We had warmer than usual weather while we were there so the solar heating really made the pool enjoyable every day. There were plenty of dishes; glassware and various utensils, including a zester and chopsticks. The house is well equipped with beach chairs, umbrella, pool floats and a beach cart. While we didn’t use them, there also were bikes and some fishing gear as well. The garage was clean and organized. We had no problem parking 2 cars (a van and a SUV) in the driveway. Alise was easy to communicate with and responded quickly to any questions I had. She checked in with us halfway thru our stay just to make sure all was good. On several days, a blue heron visited us at the dock and by the pool and hung out with us for quite a while. The location of the house was perfect and within walking distance to Harry’s Deli and restaurant; Lazy Lobster; Joan Durante Park and our favorite pizza place, Solorzanos. We definitely would consider renting here again in the future.

Great relaxing place

We really enjoyed our stay! Place is nice. We had the private pool for days we couldn’t go to the beach. The owner was always available and easy to communicate with! We will return in the future!

Fantastic vacation

Loved our stay here! The owner was wonderful and quick to respond to all communications. The home was clean and spacious and included any amenity you could possibly need. The location was close to the beach and the private pool was fantastic! Definitely will return!

wonderful location

We stayed in Alise's home for a full month and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. House is located on a lovely, quiet street.The kitchen was well-stocked with pots and pans, serving dishes, wine glasses, etc... so we cooked in most of the time due to the scheduled of our 9 month and 3 year old grandchildren. The house was spacious, with a large garage, a beach wagon (definitely came in handy), loads of beach toys and even fishing rods and a tackle box. My son and I caught several fish from the dock (backyard) on the canal. It was so very pleasant sitting on the dock in the early evening since there was always a pleasant breeze. There were plenty of bath towels, sheets and beach towels on hand. The pool was solar heated so it took a little time to warm up due to a cold spell. When it was warm enough to swim in it was a "gift" to have! The best part of the visit was the close location to the beach; an easy walk across one narrow road. If you do wish to eat out there is a wonderful selection of restaurants close to Alise's home. Alise was always available whenever we had a question. Overall, no complaints about the house or the location.

I grew up in Sarasota and always loved the beach and island life as well as all the cultural venues Sarasota is known for. I left Florida for university and professional reasons, however, always knowing that I would return to the area at a different phase in my life. I'm now married with 3 children, and Longboat Key provides exactly what we seek which is the serenity and tranquility of a beach life yet conveniently located to all the outdoor activities which we seek for as well as being a hop away to all that Sarasota has to offer. We hope to provide a place that would embrace love, tranquility, contentment, and good will to those who visit our home.

I felt very fortunate to have found this lovely property in July 2012 as a vacation house to share with my husband, 3 children, and our family pet. We're looking to retire in the area, and the house was perfect for our needs. The private beach access is now rare in Longboat Key. The house is on a quiet street and away from the noise, and its close proximity to Anna Marie island and Sarasota is a main reason why we chose this particular home.
