Clean and spacious

This condo was excellent. Everything we needed was provided! We were able to cook dinner easily. The view is beautiful, and the amenities were well kept like the pool area. Some complained that updates are needed for the building as a whole, but not everything is perfect in this world. The owners of this condo have no control over the Reef Club building. Their condo is clean and perfect for a week getaway with family. We will for sure try booking again.

The Reef Club is a very popular building that offers more amenities and conveniences that are not available in many condo buildings. For example many buildings do not have a pool, Jacuzzi and deck with tables, chairs and umbrellas. The good news is that the association is in the planning stages of updating and adding exciting improvements to the pool and deck area. Indian Rocks Beach is a great family beach that allows public access and parking and is not too crowded. First visit to Indian Rocks Beach

We wanted a 2-3 bdrm/2 baths on the beach with access from the building directly to the beach. Our top floor unit was as described. Clean, nice furnishings, spacious, balcony with pool and ocean view. Only issue was the washing machine (needs repair or replacement). There was only one beach chair in the closet, so we purchased a new chair and left it for the next renter. Also, would be nice to have a beach umbrella. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the unit and recommend it. We are already discussing returning next year!

I visited my property after IRMA and fortunately just suffered a broken balcony window which I replaced.The fence and ladies bathroom by the pool were damaged and the association is making the repairs. The building is in good shape I just replaced the washer and dryer with brand new units. I am glad that you and your family had a great stay. I am frustrated that you only found one beach chair as the chairs have been replaced several times. Unfortunately the beach chairs never seem to remain in the unit . They often disappear as the chairs leave the unit for use on the beach and sometimes are never returned. This has been a reoccurring problem and a source of frustration for me. Thank you for your consideration in purchasing an additional chair. Another solution is to rent the beach chairs and umbrellas as they are available for rent at a very affordable hourly rate. Overall good.

Here are a list of items that prevented our stay from being rated excellent.

1. Toilets in both bathrooms either stop up or require at least two flushes to remove contents.

2. Faucet leaks and has low pressure in master bedroom on right hand sink.

3. Washing machine washes fine but does not operate in the spin mode. To operate in the spin mode the resident must return to the washing machine manually turn the knob to the spin cycle then we'll complete.

4.Sliding doors to balcony do not lock.

5. Vertical shades at sliding door mismatched in color and length and look tacky. Distracting from otherwise nice decor.

6. Sofa, couch and loveseat cushions completly wornout. Very uncomfortable. Plenty of room in this area for an additional sofa and an area rug. This would make it feel more home like.

Resposta do proprietário: Dear James , Thank you for the overall good review. To address the issues, The glass windows were replaced at a considerable expense. My recent visit confirmed that the patio doors do in fact lock. In September 2017, I replaced the washer and dryer with new units. The vertical blinds are all uniform in length but a few were replaced because of damage and the originals are not available. The beige color was matched and placed at the end until I replace the entire set. I was at the property in May and the living room furniture was neither worn out or uncomfortable. Additionally, in September 2017 I again ( for the second time this year) had the furniture professionally cleaned . I followed up with my property manager and she did not find any leaks or problems with the toilet flushing and verified with the existing tenant. My property manager also provides contact information for the tenant to address any problems as they arise. Thank you for your imput. Regards, James M. Allen

Good view, spacious, nice pool and hot tub

Overall this is a great condo and I would definitely stay again. The price was right. We were steps from the beach and had access to the pool and hot tub. The reef club itself is somewhat run down and slightly dirty. The washing machine and dryer in the condo were loud and the door to the laundry room would not stay shut. That is why we gave 4 stars instead of 5.

The newly installed glass windows provide a clear view to the beach and ocean. The newly purchased balcony table and chairs are comfortable and provide a great way to relax and to enjoy the beauty of the ocean and beach. I have also added a new king sized bedroom set and stainless steel appliances in the last two years. The washer and dryer work okay and I will eventually replace them. The association has changed the board and replaced the property management company last fall. The building is in the process of renovation projects. The elevators are new and remodeled. The pool and deck are planned to be updated and improved but will not be undertaken until the Summer season is done. Thank you for the information Regards, James M. Allen

Wonderful Memorial Day weekend on the beach in the comfort of your own place

What a lovely way to spend Memorial Day Weekend! I have been coming to this unit for many years so while some may say I am biased it also makes me hypercritical of the unit's shape and condition. I can truly say that I was impressed this time with the shape and condition of the unit and premises. The Reef Club itself has updated both of its elevators and added new umbrellas to the tables on the pool deck. The unit owner just replaced the sliding patio doors with a crystal clear view of the ocean when you're sitting on the couch. And on top of that there is new patio furniture to enjoy the views of the ocean.

This place is a cozy beach home placed right on the ocean. It's beach-themed decorated with a huge king bed in the master bedroom and second queen size bed in another bedroom. I love that the beach is accessible right in front of the building. It's the perfect place to spend a day at the beach.

Decent condo, but not luxury

The unit itself was very clean. The beds, pillows and linens were also very comfortable. Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen was available. However, we expected a little more available for the beach. There was no umbrella, and only one beach chair that was broken. We had to shell out $70 for two beach chairs and an umbrella that we could not take back with us on the airplane. The patio furniture was uncomfortable, and the patio windows had some kind of foggy film that obstructed the view from inside the condo. The dishwasher, although new, barely cleaned the dishes (although it's definitely not a deal-breaker). That said, the unit itself was decent. However, the property could use some major updating. The pool had a layer of scum on the tile, many of the beach chairs were stained and an ugly blue carpet covered the upper half of the pool deck. The elevators, too, were outdated and had a weird thump on some of the floors. All said, I probably would not visit this property again in the future.

The association is receiving bids for the remodel of the pool and deck area. The property managers do an excellent job of maintaining the pool and deck. The tables, chairs and umbrellas are periodically replaced because of the weather. The dishwasher is relatively new and you are the first person to complain about having difficulty getting clean dishes. My wife always reminds me to rinse before cleaning the dishes and not to wait to long before starting the clean cycle. At my recent visit we checked the dishwasher and it worked fine. We noticed the glasses had hard water marks and we cleaned them with white wine vinegar and baking soda. They now sparkle. I replaced the patio door windows and patio furniture and posted a picture. Now the view of the ocean from the unit thru the balcony is crystal clear. I have little or no control over the availability of beach toys, chairs, and umbrellas. I provide a storage area in the unit for these items but they never seem to consistently remain the same because they leave the unit. There are rentals available nearby at a reasonable cost (currently eight dollars) . Again thank you for your input. Regards, The owner, James M. Allen
