the view is wonderful and we like the unit.. However the bed is in poor shape and uncomfortable and needs to be replaced.I will not return unless the bed is replaced.

Alex was so nice and so available .. really a pleasure ...

countertop in the bathroom is a bit high .. for tall people i guess :(..

but other than that nothing negative to say.

I will keep it in my book of good spots to go !

Paradise!

My husband and I have had the good fortune to have visited Mont Vernon, Orient Bay, Property ID 3008994 three times! Each time the experience is the same...absolutely wonderful! The view depicted in the advertisement is just how it really looks...peaceful beauty! The condo is great, clean, quiet and the only place we will return to when we are able to travel back to St. Martens. Adrina was there upon our arrival; she does a marvelous job on keeping the condo looking great! Alex emailed us details about our arrival and kept us up to date on our trip. We again rented our car from Marcus and he was right there when our flight arrived. It was great to be driven to our condo so we could appreciate the scenery and catch up on what had been happening since our last vacation to this beautiful island. The beaches continue to be stunning with choices to either partake of activities, walk along and enjoy the sand, water and beautiful views, or stop for some refreshments at the friendly beach bars and restaurants! (The food is delicious especially at Palm Beach...I felt like we were transported to France as the cuisine was excellent and the prices were more than reasonable!)The grounds of the condo are very well kept and the pool is perfect to cool off in, swim laps or just lounge around! Ah, yes, truly Paradise that I hope you will allow yourself to experience!

Lovely unit and facilities

Our first time in St Martin and we really enjoyed the location. The owner helped with a car and was very responsive to our needs. We highly recommend staying here.

CONDO DOES NOT MEET DESCRIPTION

I gave this condo one star because of the incredible balcony view of Orient Bay and the beautiful swimming pool. My wife and I stayed here 3 weeks in September and on the first day the water supply failed and we were without sanitary facilities for the better part of four days. I called the owner ASAP and he arranged for bottled water to be delivered after day 2. Meanwhile we were struggling with sanitation and our own bottled water. This water supply failure was not due to a pipe rupture, but scheduled as part of a water system update. The owner should have been aware of this situation and advised us and we would have delayed our arrival. The next problem was failure of the AC for 2 days. September here is incredibly hot and humid and loss of air conditioning is not as trivial as it sounds. Andrina, the owners contact person was able to get the unit repaired.

The unit is described as having a clothes washer; an item without which we would not have rented the condo. We were able to do one wash after the first week and the washer died. This washer was well beyond its life expectancy and should have been replaced long ago. I even drove Andrina to an appliance store to purchase a new washer, but she did not receive funds from the owner during our stay. Seating in the condo is non existent except for the what the owner calls an Indonesian Daybed. This daybed doesn't remotely qualify as a bed or a chair. We had to resort to using beach chairs to watch TV, grab a bite or use a laptop.

The kitchen can work for 2 people even with a mini fridge,were it not for the location of the toaster oven and microwave on a shelf 6ft. above the sink. I'm 6ft. tall and had to stand on my toes with a flashlight to determine if the toast was done. Ugh.

Orient Beach is describe as having beautiful white sand. This may be true, but we never saw it because the bay has a chronic infestation of rotting, smelly seaweed. The Waikiki resort at the far end of the beach bulldozes their sea weed away mornings and evenings for its cruise ship customers. We understand the sea weed problem is not new. Other reviewers have described the road approaching the condo as having serious potholes. I think it more accurate to describe driving on this street like driving on a dry stream bed for 1/2 mile.

Resposta do proprietário: I usually would not respond to a review but for this review I am making an exception. There are three basic points that I would like to address: First: Do you really believe that any agency that schedules a infrastructure repair would shutdown a water system for four days. The water was off at 10am and back on at 5pm. Second The AC did stop working but when our repairman arrived at the residence, the next morning, he found that the AC was running with the doors open that made the coil freeze from the humidity. Once the client was told to keep the doors closed the problem was solved. Third the washing machine did break after the client used it twice. When this happened I instructed our cleaning staff to change the towels and linens weekly and offer to do their laundry at no expense to the client. All seemed to be well until the client arrived back to the states and Insisted on a refund that I refused to give him. Hence the one star review.

A Relaxing Week

We had a very relaxing week in Saint Martin. We were very happy with the condo. Very pleased with the décor and view of the beach. Although there is no room service during the weeks stay, that is fine with us! Complete privacy. :) Also, we had booked a weeks stay there a few months before and had to cancel it just days before we were suppose to go...due to a medical emergency. Alex responded extremely quickly and refunded all of our payment to him. That was very much appreciated by us! We didn't do a lot while there so I can't say a lot about the island. Our goal was to have a relaxing week and we did! I think my only negative thing to say about anything is some of the road conditions were pretty bad with potholes, etc. But everyone was very nice. The weather was great and the location of the condo gave us a steady breeze that we loved. We have vacationed on many different Caribbean islands and consider Saint Martin one of the better ones. :)
