praia de Kailua é 2. 5 milhas de areia branca. Tartarugas de mar havaianas são uma visão comum nas águas azul-turquesa do Kailua Bay. A baía é protegida por um recife off-shore e é ideal para a natação, canoagem, windsurf, kitesurf, bodyboard e surf. Kailua baía é uma windsurf e kitesurf local de renome.
We loved the house and how close it was to great dining and proximity to main roads and the beach. The pool was freezing, but we did go in February, which is a little cooler even in Hawaii. The house is perfect for sleeping with the windows open.
The two bathrooms are in the hallway which is great for a rental! The washer and dryer was a big bonus!
Judy sent multiple messages checking on us and always responded when we had questions.
I would highly recommend this property when staying in Kailua! We loved breakfast at Kono's and Over Easy, the Kailua pork is amazing!

The property owner: Judy doesn't take personal ownership for any issues, dissatisfaction or lacking of amenities. I offered a very lengthy feedback email about several non-urgent issues and suggestions. She blamed all issues on "her" housekeepers and never ever apologized on her own behalf as the property owner. She doesn't believe it's necessary to have a household fire extinguisher or carbon monoxide detectors inside a home that has gas appliances. Her response was that I could have bought one& she would have reimbursed me. There were 6 washcloths and we had to wash them every morning for 7 days. Her response was that in October while she was in the home, there was an adequate amount. There was open food in the frig including tequila, ranch dressing without a label and shelves were not wiped clean. I can see leaving previous guests spices or unopened food. There was a used bar of soap in the shower. "Her" housekeepers may need to be supplied with a very detailed checklist if they are going to have oversights as such. I've vacationed in 6+ VRBO's and have never received such an unprofessional response from a property owner when offering feedback. The frontload washing machine was so full of brown slimy gunk on the rubber that I spent time wiping it and running a sanitizing cycle 3 times in my 8 day stay. She never even thanked me. She was rude and asumtious in stating that because the housekeeper found sand on the wood floor inside the house after our departure that no one must have rinsed off before entering the house and that posted vacationing rules were not followed by us. There were ZERO "rules" posted. It's odd that she even states that. The posting is very vague and is what was emailed to me after I booked. No mention about no dirt or sand can be on the floor. I did however pay a $400 cleaning fee and left that home in better condition in which I arrived.
The home was nice, comfy, accommodating, convenient and fit our family size. We enjoyed our beach vacation. Kalama beach is a short 2+ block walking distance and is clean and safe for families. The Crepe's restaurant down the road is yummy. Walgreens has overall better prices than Safeway and are more like Mainland prices. Whole Foods is better and fresher option for groceries over Safeway.
We shared this property with friends and it was perfect for our needs. It meant we didn't have to spend alot of money on food and an expensive hotel and got to take advantage of its short distance to shops and the beach.
We loved staying in Kailua! This house had plenty of space for us and provided many items (chairs, mats, boogie boards, coolers, towels, laundry, etc) that made our stay very enjoyable. The pool was a lot bigger than expected! We had some crazy weather but having a pool for the kids to swim in was such a blessing! Loved the outside shower and fully stocked kitchen! Thank you!
The house was clean and very roomy.The pool was exceptional and bigger than I thought it was going to be.Cooking was very easy and we used the grill most of the time.I would recommend this house to anyone.We were four seniors and were very comfortable.The house was close to the shopping area and some great restaurants.This was a wish come true for us and we enjoyed every minute of the two weeks we were at this house.Thank you Judy for sharing your home with us.
We had a wonderful time. We had some issues with the airport and rental cars and the Boyd's helped us out by giving us rides for the first day. They were very accommodating and their house was well furnished and stocked for trips to the beach. When we return to Hawaii, I would absolutely stay at this house. Unbelievable.
