I just spent an amazing week on Grand Bahama Island with my beautifull wife and we couldnt have asked for a better vacation all around. We were lucky to have friends that lived on the island because we got to see almost everything we had planned. The beaches there are unbelievable(definitly recommend Banana Bay) and the people were all very nice. The condo we stayed in was perfect and extremely clean and the view was amazing. We watched the sunrise every morning from the balcony and even though its not directly on the water its definitly still oceanview. Thanks Dino for the great place to stay.
Have been renting from Dino and Rose for 3 years and I am already booked for next March! The condo is a perfect retreat from the cold northern winters. It has everything you need from beach towels and beach chairs to everything you need to cook! All fresh linens and pillows, comfortable and quality furniture.

My dad and I stayed here for 8 nights. Didn't do a whole lot of research on the Bahamas--we just sort of planned this trip on a whim. Dino's place was one of the first that we looked at online and decided to go with it, and boy are we so glad we did! We feel like we hit the jackpot! This condo was absolutely PERFECT in every way. It is VERY clean and well-maintained. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything and everything you need for an extended stay, in terms of utensils and appliances. The murphy bed is perfect and makes it nice and spacious during the day when the bed is put away. There are plenty of empty drawers and cabinets for storage, as well as a good-sized closet in the bathroom and plenty more storage in the closet on the balcony.
The building is located right on the beach. It's maybe a 2 minute walk from the back door of the building to the edge of the water. The pool area is very nice, and the beach is SUPERB. Very clean. The condo building itself was very safe and quiet--we saw nothing but families staying there. It's close enough to the major attractions (Lucaya marketplace, etc.), but far enough away that you're not caught in all the tourist traffic, which is what we like. It was a very quiet, peaceful stay. We rented a car and parked it along the street outside the condo. You can also pay to park in the condo's gated parking lots, but we chose not to and didn't have any troubles with the car being parked on the street.
We enjoyed every moment. And to top it all off, Dino gave us a call there on our second night to make sure we were doing okay, to see if we needed anything, and to wish us a Merry Christmas. What a lovely personal touch. Thanks for everything, Dino! I would recommend this condo to friends and family in a HEARTBEAT.
Condo was very nice and well maintained. It had all the amenities and kitchen essentials. Beach was amazing! And location is very convenient to shops and restaurants. The only negative was that the view from balcony was not ocean view but the street below. I expected to see the ocean as shown in the photo. But we had such a wonderful time, it didn't really matter. We plan to return next year.
We stayed in this condo for 3 months and we absolutely loved it! The listings description and pictures are accurate. The layout of the condo and the Murphy bed made the place feel much bigger than a studio. As the balcony is on east side, we saw awesome sunrises and had breakfast with a great view to the ocean from our 5th floor. Dino, the owner, was great to deal with and made sure that everything that we needed. The condo is clean, convenient, great location and RIGHT ON THE BEACH with more than 1.6 mi long of a quiet sandy beach, between two channels. You can easily see a lot of eagle rays and different species of fish.The new Solomons Lucaya is the nearest grocery to Coral Beach. It’s a 30 minute to go by walk or less than 10 minutes by public bus. Before entering into the grocery, stop just next door, for a delicious frozen yogourt at «Island Yogourt», a mix-weigh-pay system for a unique experience. You could also easily walk along the beach or road about 10-15min to the Lucayan Market Place. Our favorite restaurants are Le Med, Zorba’s (Greek food), Cappucino’s (Italian food with an early bird dinner @ $10,95 (pasta and a glass of wine). For wine and rhum, The House of Rhum (next door of Le Med’s) has good prices and selection. The bus system can be picked up at the corner of Coral Beach Rd/Royal Palm Way. It only costs $1.50/one way/person. During our 3 month stay, we find everything near us by walk or by bus. We rent a car for 3 days to visit the island and specially the Lucayan National Park, a must to see, at low tide.
My Husband and I stayed in this rental for SIX WEEKS! We absolutely loved it! The listings description and pictures are accurate with lots more when you arrive. The layout of the condo and the Murphy bed made the place feel much bigger than a studio. The kitchen was fully equipped (which was important to us because of the length of our stay) and there was a washer and dryer on the same floor near the elevator. The bed and pillows were soft comfy; and the closest was filled with fresh linens, bath and beach towels. The property is handicap friendly and the staff at the front desk was cheerful and very helpful. There is a bar/restaurant beside the pool which is convenient. They serve typical bar eats, like burger and wings salad ect. it wasn’t great food but it wasn’t horrible either. We did noticed a lot of the locals gathered there daily after work for happy hour which was nice.
If you are staying for a week or two you will definitely find lots of things to do. For those staying a little longer you will find aside from the tourists attractions there isn’t much else to do but relax on the beach or pool side (which didn’t bother us one bit!) The bus system there is definitely running on “island time” it does stop in front of the lobby or can be picked up at the corner. It only costs about $1.50 so it’s a pretty cheap way to get around but again it can be unreliable. Dino, the owner, was very helpful and gave us the number of the driver he uses while here and he was excellent. He was always on time and if he wasn’t available he made sure to call another driver for us. You could easily walk along the beach or road about 10-15min to the market place but if walking isn’t your thing you are looking at about $8 each way. Most days we lay near the pool or on the beach. On the days we were too lazy to do anything, we enjoyed staying in, cooking dinner in the apartment and eating on the balcony where we could watch the sky change into these magnificent colors over the ocean. My husband who is a sports fanatic was grateful to also have wifi and cable in the apartment to keep track of his teams. Over all we thoroughly enjoyed our extended holiday on the island and in the condo. I would highly recommend it to families, couples and seniors. It is much cheaper than staying in a hotel and you'll still have all amenities.
