Our family of 16 had a perfect stay at Casa Panga. It is a beautiful beachfront home in a breathtaking location on the Sea of Cortez. Raqel and her family spoiled us with their attentiveness, fabulous meals, and excellent housekeeping skills. They went above and beyond, arranging transportation, outdoor massages, ATVs, even letting us cuddle their adorable new puppy whenever we wanted. When we requested fish for dinner, Raqel went to the marina in San Jose Del Cabo, a 30 min. ride, to get fish right from the dock. Her family is very involved in helping her provide a wonderful experience for each guest.. We met her husband, nephew , daughters and grandchildren. They are such caring people, being patiently amused and very understanding at our feeble attempts to converse in Spanish. We are a close knit family too and greatly appreciated meeting a family who share many of the same values we have.
We particularly enjoyed the privacy of this remote setting. It's not hard to get to by car, being only a 30 min ride to San Jose Del Cabo. The road was fine, It ends very close to the house where it turns into a dirt road. From there it's only a short distance to Casa Panga. Casa Panga is about an hour from Cabo.
We prefer a quiet beachfront location. There's lots of partying in Cabo. We much prefer the lovely town of San Jose Del Cabo with its many galleries, wonderful restaurants, colonial architecture and great shopping. It had something for everyone. We found it to be a better fit for our six young grandchildren. .
We'd scheduled a whale watching trip which was cancelled due to large waves. Turned out it wasn't necessary. We enjoyed seeing humpbacks so close to the beach that you didn't need binoculars to see them. They lingered in front of us, breaching, spyhoping, tail slapping and providing hours of awesome entertainment . Sometimes there were so many spouts, we didn't know which direction to look.
They were there everyday. Often a mom and calf would swim by with a male escort. Whales migrate here to calve and then nurse their offspring until they're strong enough to swim back to Alaska.
Our days here began with beautiful sunrises and ended in the hot tub taking in the vast number of stars and constellations you can see in the blue velvet sky.
It's hard to find a place where 16 people all speak of having had a perfect experience. Casa Panga was that for us. As I hugged Raqel when leaving, a tiny piece of my heart stayed at Casa Panga.
Loved our stay. The home is beautiful and in a beautiful setting. Warm and welcoming... perfect for a 2 family vacation. The women who cook and clean are friendly and the food is delicious. My only suggestion for improving the property would be to keep the sports equipment fixed and ready to use. None of the boards had fins, so stand up paddle boarding or paddling the surf boards was not possible. Other than that, it was excellent in all ways. We cannot wait to return.
All 19 of us had a fantastic week. The house provided plenty of space - both private and gathering fun. Raquel and Raquelita fixed us great meals and support. Nobody wanted it to end. Thanks Ford, for the memorable family get away.
The Yanak clan.
We took all four of our adult children, their spouses, and 8 grandchildren for ten days to Casa Panga. It was the absolute perfect place. The property was perfect for the entire group with ages ranging from one to sixty. Spacious, comfortable, safe and enjoyable. The property hosts were wonderful. Could not find anything to improve our stay. The home and grounds are exactly as the photos show, magnificent! With only a 20 minute drive from San Jose, we drove in often to pick up items we needed. Fabulous place ! Would recommend for families.
The house and staff are both amazing. Food was delicious and the location of the home is ideal for beach activities or just relaxing. I highly recommend casa panga.
Put it simply, we couldn't be happier. This remote corner of Baja offers some breathtaking landscapes as the dessert meets the see and Casa Panga itself is no different. It was cozy, beautiful and fun all in one with 6 spacious rooms, massive kitchen/living room, infinity pool overlooking the pacific and a swim up bar. And at night, we adults found ourselves sitting around the outdoor firepit. The staff on hand, Raquel, Mario, Marie and Raquelita couldn't have been any nicer or more professional. They took care of all the shopping, cooked delicious Mexican breakfast, light lunch and dinner daily and kept the bar stocked with beer, tequila and anything we asked for. As a surfer, Shipwrecks is a mere 5 minute drive (4x4 recommended) but we opted to head farther east to 9 Palms and were rewarded with some incredible surf. And lastly there's Ford himself, one of the owners who from start to finish was accommodating and concerned about his guest's well being. We are already looking for an opportunity to go back. Until next time, gracias Casa Panga.
