Fantastic Fernie find!!!

We travelled to Fernie for a ski trip and are so happy we did.

This home was perfect for our medium sized group. We liked the private setting - end unit along a tree lined trail.

It is only a short walk to the lifts and the alpine resort - and a short drive to Fernie.

We loved being able to ski home to the private hot tub.

The kitchen layout is great for entertaining. We cooked most meals and appreciated that the kitchen was well equipped. Nice living room with bluetooth stereo.

This place is very clean with all the necessities you would need (bath towels and hot tub towels).

Couldn't have asked for better hosts who checked in with us and helped make our trip an unforgettable experience!

Highly recommend staying here. Thank you so much!

Great Accommodations!

Great accommodations in an excellent location! We stayed here for the weekend on a ski trip. It was a short 5 minute walk to the lifts/restaurants/spa at the base of the mountain. Private setting. Short drive into town if need be. Place was spacious and clean, beds were comfortable and hot tub was great! Owners were very attentive and even called to check how we were doing and if we needed anything. Definitely would recommend this place !!

Wedding vacation

Great location to the mountain, very short walk. Very spacious, never felt crowded. I had 8 girls, two mothers and 2 toddlers for the morning of my wedding getting ready and I never felt crowded. Lots of stairs so had to block them off for my toddler. Tons of dishes, cups, plates! The owners were great to deal with, answered any questions very quickly and checked in to make sure everything was good. Also the hot tub was AMAZING.

Fernie ski week

Our group of four freinds from Ontario have skied and stayed at several resorts together in Western Canada over the years. Polar Peaks was a big hit with the gang for its space, amenities and location. Richard was always helpful, even updating me on road conditions on our travel day.

Ski out was a breeze. Ski in was a short walk which was pretty much the same distance as for those parking in the nearby resort lot.

The hot tub was clean and outside but covered. The foosball table provided great fun. The kitchen and bedrooms were excellent.

Most importantly, there were no surprises that were not good ones.

What a great accomadation!

We spent a full week at Polar Peak #4 and had an amazing time. The unit had space for all 7 of us comfortably, an excellent kitchen with everything we needed to make delicious meals every morning & night and a very nice area for all of us to enjoy conversation after an another great day of skiing.

A short 5 minute walk brought us to the Timber chair every morning and then skied right back to the front door at the end of the ski day on the mountain. And then being able to relax, and recuperate, in the hot tub put the icing on the cake of our incredible stay.

Finally, I want to thank the owners for their excellent advice and suggestions which helped in making our trip so fantastic. With suggestions we had everything we needed when we arrived, ate gourmet meals every night with excellent wine.

When I come back to Fernie I will want to stay here again!

Thanksgiving Getaway

For Thanksgiving this year, we were going to be a small family group, so we decided to go away for the long weekend. We had never been to Fernie but had heard wonderful things about the community. In the winter, it is well-known for its world-class skiing conditions, and in the warmer months, there are plenty of other outdoor activities. Being a mere 3 hour drive from Calgary, it is a perfect destination for a weekend getaway.

We were in touch via email with Richard, the owner of the townhouse. He always gracious and prompt with his email replies. Clearly, he is very organized and makes sure that the guests to his townhouse are satisfied.

Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate with us -- it rained most of the weekend. But the wet weather allowed us to take advantage of the townhouse's many amenities. We enjoyed relaxing activities such as reading, watching one of the two TV's, playing boardgames (we brought those from home), cooking, playing on the foosball table, and lounging in the good-sized hot tub. The unit is superbly equipped. The kitchen contains all modern appliances and is stocked with all the plates, utensils, pots, etc. that one might need. The bedrooms are roomy with comfortable mattresses and fine bedding. The many bathrooms are large and have plenty of towels. The whole townhouse was spotlessly clean. It is located in beautiful, peaceful surroundings on the ski hill with gorgeous views in every direction.

We ventured down the hill to the Fernie townsite a few times. We had a fantastic meal at The Curry Bowl; did some shopping at Le Grand Fromage, Big Bang Bagels, Beanpod Chocolates, among other shops; and, even enjoyed a fine Thanksgiving dinner at Max at the Park Place Lodge. One day, the weather cleared and we were able to go for a brief hike along the pathways near Island Lake Lodge. The scenery and autumn colours were stunning.

Overall, it was a really nice weekend getaway, and we look forward to when we can return to Fernie for another visit. I would definitely stay at this townhouse again, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!
