I viveu neste apt quando eu comprei a casa. Ele tem o meu próprio toque pessoal. Eu moro no mesmo edifício no piso superior (é um sobrado), e cuidar de toda a casa com a ajuda de minha afectuosa Hortensia que mantém este limpa apt e em boa forma.


Cozinha de serviço completo com microondas, torradeira, cafeteira, máquina de lavar louça e. Casa de banho completa + 1/2 banho. Sunken Art Deco sala com piso em parquet e tectos altos. Ver e utilização de um pátio privado jardim, grande TV a cabo e Wi-Fi Internet.

Bom gosto de estar em estilo italiano. Próximo ao metrô e ônibus, a um quarteirão do Central Park, ea 3 quarteirões do Riverside Park. Na Gold Coast do Upper West Side. Muito convenientemente localizado perto de um supermercado e várias lojas gourmet, muito muito bons restaurantes e muitas lojas.

Próximo: Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Universidade de Columbia, Museu de História Natural. Muito próximo ao metrô e estações de ônibus que pode levá-lo por toda Manhattan e fazem você se sentir como você é um verdadeiro nova-iorquino!

Dois dos quartos estão abaixo do nível do solo e tem janelas com vista para o pátio. Não é permitido fumar no apt. Você pode sair para o pátio se você deve fumar.

O lugar é muito calmo e, às vezes, parece que você está no país, especialmente nos meses mais quentes, quando você pode desfrutar sentado no quintal.

Highly Recommended - Clean, Convenient, and Super Quiet

I stayed here in April with a female friend; we are both middle-aged. This 2 floor, 2 bedroom apartment on the ground floor of a town house is wonderfully located, just down the street from Central Park, two subway lines, restaurants, etc. in the Upper West Side. The town house is spacious, comfortable, and fairly well equipped. The beds are super-comfortable, the house is very, very quiet (by any standards), and we felt very safe. Livia was very accommodating with my questions and last minute travel changes-- our 2nd flight was cancelled and we arrived after 1 a.m. We loved relaxing in the living room after a long day of being in the big, busy city. I slept remarkably well here. The apartment is not fancy, but it is clean and comfortable. I have rented many vacation rentals and prefer them over hotels because hotels typically have puny refrigerators and a coffee pot -- and that is it. Plus, they're sterile and not comfortable. This place was more like being at home. It is 90+ years old and has character. It is plenty big enough for 2-4 people.

Regarding what another guest said: the smaller downstairs bedroom does not have a door, just a curtain, as does the 1/2 bathroom in the master bedroom downstairs - it is curtained off, rather than being a separate bathroom. Since there were just 2 of us, that wasn't a problem at all, but for 2 couples or more, it might be an issue. You can shut the master bedroom door to give the bathroom privacy.

Even though we spent most of our time in Manhattan downtown (as opposed to uptown in the UWS), I would still return to the UWS in the future as it is much homier and quiet. I cannot imagine trying to sleep in a loud, bustling environment such as in Times Square. Plus, the subway will get you back and forth in 15-20 minutes, tops.

For those who haven't been to Manhattan, using an airport shuttle or cab is the way to go if you have more than one very small suitcase. Getting luggage up a flight or two of stairs out of the subway is a hassle.

As a past guest said, if you are looking for a nice, affordable MUCH better alternative to a hotel room, in an unbeatable location, this place is it.

Great Location but Needs Some TLC.

Our communications with the owner during the reservation process were very pleasant and she was extremely helpful and responsive to our questions. She seems like a genuinely nice person; however, we do feel compelled to provide an honest review of our stay here. There are three of us that contributed to this review.

The apartment is in a great location and in a quiet neighborhood. We particularly enjoyed the backyard patio under the trees. We also felt safe taking our evening strolls. Several good restaurants, cafes, clubs, and grocery stores are within walking distance and stay open late.

The main doors to the building and the hallway floors were dirty and full of cobwebs. This was our first impression of what awaited us...

The photos of the apartment posted on the website were most likely taken a few years ago as some of the furniture seen in the photos had been replaced. The photos also do not show the general wear and tear throughout the apartment. We found it to be in need of TLC, including detailed cleaning and general maintenance.

The floors and baseboards were worn and in need of a good scrubbing throughout the apartment, especially along the edges and in the corners of the floors. The windows on the lower level needed cleaning as well. The grout in the upstairs bath was crumbling, and the drapes separating the master bedroom (MB) from the half bath had several dark brown stains. The sofa bed mattress in the den was also stained. Several walls could also use a fresh coat of paint.

The bedrooms are on the lower level, adjacent to the basement. The mattresses in the MB and the small second bedroom were uncomfortably hard. There were no box springs, only wooden platforms. We folded a comforter in half and placed it on top of the twin mattress (in the second bedroom) to add some padding. We also had trouble staying asleep because of the extremely loud groaning noise coming from the window air conditioner next to the MB bed. There is no doubt that an investment in a whisper-quiet window air conditioner and upgraded beds and mattresses would be appreciated by future tenants. Sleep is essential to enjoying a good vacation!

The MB closet had a strong moldy odor so we placed all of our clothes on the wooden storage rack along the bedroom wall.

There are bars on all of the windows that cannot be opened from the inside. So if you are claustrophobic or concerned about safety then this is not the place for you.

Lovely apartment, beautiful garden, nice neighbourhood

Staying in Livia's apartment was wonderful! We are a family of five with three young daughters. There was enough space for all of us. It's so much better than a hotel. We enjoyed having diner in the garden which is actually quite big! The apartment is quiet and feels very safe. Livia is nice and helpful and so is the neighbour next door. The neighbourhood is green, safe with lots of shopping and eating facilities. We love to come back some day. The only thing that could be improved is to buy one or two fans, because the airconditioner in the living room only cools the back part of the living room. And we experienced a real NY heatwave during our stay! Thanks for the hospitality.

Wonderful, quiet place to stay in a busy city!

We were moving our daughter to NYC for college and found the apartment to be quite close to her dormitory. One of the residents of the apartment building was a real blessing in helping us not only unload all she had brought for school into the apartment until we could move her to the actual dorm but he also helped us with things we needed to know about the apartment. Livia, the owner, was out of town but she had lots of ideas in a folder left in the apartment for great places to dine and sights to see - one has become a favorite of ours. "Fred's" is a restaurant we've been to 3 times now!! The apartment itself was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. There was ample space for the four of us to sleep and having the extra half bath was very handy. It was nice to be away from the busyness of a large city and yet still be able to easily get to places we wanted to go to with either the subway, taxi cab or walking. We will definitely want to rent the apartment again for future visits and highly recommend it for other travelers as well!

Convenient, Clean- Great Location

Traveled with my 18 year old daughter, her friend and a friend of mine - we had plenty of room in the apartment. The property is a great location for navigating around NYC. Just a few blocks from Starbucks, great Italian restaurants, grocery store, subway and Central Park. The apartment is spacious and clean and the court yard is nice. Livia is so nice and so easy to work with, and has great recommendations about the area. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks Livia!

Convenient location for exploring the city

Location, 1 1/2 bathrooms and a patio. These were the selling points of this apartment for a 5 day trip with my husband and grandson. The location between 2 subway lines, near restaurants, markets and a block from Central Park couldn't be better. The patio was a private refuge after a day of sightseeing or for breakfast. Livia provided a notebook of recommendations for marketing and restaurants.

As mentioned by other reviewers, the 1/2 bath is actually a curtained off area in the master bedroom, so if privacy is an issue for you, the bedroom is unusable while someone is using the bathroom.

If reviewing this apartment on location alone, I would give it an Excellent rating. Because of some wear issues with towels, bedding & pillows and kitchen utensils, I'm giving it just a Good rating.
