We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Todd's Villa. It was so hot outside, but we were comfortable inside. We found the kitchen to be well equipped for what we needed, and clean. We appreciated having the door lock as a code so we didn't have to worry about carrying a key. The bike rack was right at the bottom of the stairs. The night it rained was also relaxing - we ate dinner out on the porch while the rained poured. We found Todd to be easily accessible to answer any questions we had. Great place to stay!

Todd's description of the room was pretty much spot-on. Everything was clean and neat and ready for use. The fully-equipped kitchen and laundry room were great (of course you need to bring your own laundry detergent). Plenty of convenient shopping is nearby. Obviously the highlight of our stay was the scenic beauty of Kiawah Island and the wildlife in and about the marsh surrounding much of the area. This alone made the visit all the more worthwhile. Also, the beach was never crowded during our stay (reminder: this was late April into early May). The price for the room was very reasonable also, and we would like to revisit if possible. Todd's recommendation to rent from Alligator Bike worked out fine for us, and they had the bikes to us about 10 minutes after we ordered them over the phone. To anyone considering a visit to Kiawah Island, I would highly recommend renting from Todd.
The island has a 2 Lane road which is busy and quite remote. Its a 20 minute drive from the villa to groceries and real food. Everyone walks and bikes so take your bikes. Alligators signs are posted everywhere and beware they are in the lagoon behind the Villa so don't go around the lagoon at night. Be sure to visit the tomato shed, Maria's Mexican grill, and the market in Charleston and the harbor cruise. Overall it was a nice get away but I would hate to be there when the kids are out of school. I imagine the traffic would be insane.
We enjoyed our short stay in this unit. It had everything we needed except laundry detergent. Everything in the unit worked great. The only complaint my kids had was that the pull out couch bed was very hard. There was very little padding and they were feeling the springs. We used extra pillows to make it more comfortable. The location was great as it was a short walk to the beach, shops, tennis, pool, etc. We would recommend it to others.
Super owner, very responsive, wonderful location near lots of golf courses and beach, great kitchen, nicely appointed condo. I strongly recommend staying at this place which sleeps up to four very easily. Kudos to the owner Todd.
