The accommodation
The house is well suited for groups, family reunions and seminars. We have 22 beds (like a couple of cots) in 8 rooms, 4 bath rooms, a kitchen and a large group room with 65 m2.
Our small dining room in the old cowshed “die Obstweinschänke” will provide you with exceptionally delicious food and drinks during your stay if necessary. From home-baked wholemeal bread to various types of fruit wine to a 5-course menu, or even with a solid simple evening meal is possible.
Who is looking for a very special place for his wedding is right with us !!! The little old village church is a very romantic place for your wedding :))).
We are in the middle of Germany and can be reached quickly and easily from all directions.
The rooms are comfortably furnished as twin rooms or as family rooms (3 to 4 beds).
Our little village called Vierbach is located in the middle of the Meißner-Kaufungerwald nature park. The varied floodplain and mountain landscape has its very special romantic charm.
Access for guests
In the house you will find a wood-burning stove for your comfort, which you are welcome to light for cozy hours. There is wood behind the house. We are happy to help you light the first one if necessary. We have a video projector that we also rent out. Our keyboard and one or the other instrument can also be borrowed. Sitting, lying, sunbathing or playing is allowed in the garden, I would even like to say. :)) Have you ever played Wickinger chess? A nice pastime for young and old. Our home has crammed countless bookshelves with books. there you will find everything from trivial to high voltage. You will also find an extensive game collection.
If you don't want to do without your electronic accessories, we have electricity in the sockets and WiFi is also available. We always adapt the kitchen equipment individually for you. If you want to put your wine in the decander, no problem we are happy to lend it. 🙂
Interaction with guests
The house and the associated rooms and lounges are self-contained areas.
The neighborhood
Excursions:
There is a lot to experience here in the Werra Meißner district !! The Germerode Wildlife Park is always worth a little hike, just 4 km away from us. If you want to experience a lot of nature, there is plenty of opportunity and plenty of well-signposted hiking trails on the Hohen Meißner. The Werratalsee near Eschwege invites you to swim. You can also go paddling on the Werra. an old coal mine in Abterode can be visited and if you are looking for cultural highlights the Wartburg near Eisenach is recommended. Here you can walk in the footsteps of Luther. Eisenach is about 45 minutes by car from us. Last but not least, in the romantic half-timbered town of Bad Sooden Allendorf in the border museum there is the opportunity to experience the history of the division of Germany's many facets.
Festival lovers are still recommended to visit the Festival Open Flair, which takes place every August. Small but nice. My tip in front of our house is a bench because you can do nothing while sitting and drink a wine comfortably;))) that is also possible.
means of transport
The Göttingen / Fulda railway line goes four kilometers from Vierbach with the Reichensachen Wehretal stop. Here you have connections to the big wide world every two hours!
