Newly remodeled 5 bedroom 2 bath lodge - over 1700 sq ft. - in South Lake Tahoe’s desirable Al Tahoe community that comfortably sleeps 12 in beds. Park your car and walk a few blocks to the lake and Regan Beach (attached photo - with children’s playground) or walk to Al Tahoe Meadow with acres of open space for snow shoeing, hiking, biking or fishing. Also within walking distance are kayak or bike rentals and several delicious restaurants: Sprouts - Organic Californian, Mexican, a Deli, and our favorite – Snowflake for burgers and milkshakes.

Stateline’s casinos (Casino Corridor) are less than 3 miles away (a $10 cab ride), and within 2 miles is Heavenly Ski Resort (ski lifts and zip line), Heavenly Village (shopping, restaurants, ice rink, gondola) and Edgewood Golf Course. Camp Richardson/Valhalla Historic Resort is 5 miles away, Emerald Bay is 12 miles away.

This comfortable lodge is large enough for family reunions and multi-family vacations and includes:

• The “Wooden Boat” Master bedroom with Cal King bed, 450ct. Egyptian cotton sheets, Direct TV and a DVD/VCR

What a dump !

Pictures on ur site did not honestly represent that property - broken window in king bedroom - no screens on bedroom 4 windows - carpet and floors wear filthy - windows - doors - all woodwork was filthy - I called the property manager about garbage disposal not working - no response - i went to local hardware store - bought a wrench - and fixed it - I’ve been renting summer Tahoe homes for 10 years - this was our worst experience ever- this was labeled pet friendly - the gate was broken and their were 2 missing boards in the fence

Mishaps?

The day before we were to travel for our trip I was told that we needed to arrive an hour and a half later so they could do a deep clean due to Covid. I didn’t mind the deep clean but I did mine being told the day before that we could not arrive until 4:30 in the evening. When we arrived the cleaning people were still there so we still could not check in. I asked if I could check out an hour later as we had to arrive an hour and a half later and I was told no. When we got there the cabin looked clean but it was still extremely dirty. The pantry needed to be wiped down before we could put any of our food in it, there was dog hair all over the place. There was dog poop all over the entire property. There was leftover beer bottles and Alcohol bottles all over the property. I received a message from the owner the day we arrived at the fireplace did not work. The door in the hallway was off the hinges and so was the basketball hoop. One of the bunkbeds was broken. The slats were crisscrossed and broken and almost hit my nephew in the face. We found a dirty pair of women’s underwear within the bedding of one of the beds. Anytime I reached out to the owner about these he did apologize and he was quick to reply but I was just disappointed that I was not told about these things before we arrived. The jet in the hot tub also ended up sucking my nephews leg into it and his inner thigh was all cut up and bruised. When I messaged the owner he said that he was sorry and that they had already ordered a part for that jet. I was again disappointed that they did not tell us this before we arrived. There were signs all over the cabin that said you will be fined $1000 for this or $1000 for that so we were always extra careful but it was very hard when you arrived and the place was already dirty and broken. All of the dishes that we use especially the pots and pans were already dirty so we had to clean them before we even use them. I did message the owner quite frequently while I was there to let him know that all of this was not due to my family and I did not want to get charged. I was lastly disappointed that the owner did not offer to give me any of our money back after everything that we had encountered at the cabin. I was just told I’m sorry for your mishaps. My family is very go with the flow and do not like to complain but we definitely won’t be staying at this cabin again.

Relaxing Stay

My husband and I stayed with our kids and family was a couple doors down. The home was spacious, the kids had a blast since they had their own space. We spent one day sledding, another ice skating, other than that we ate in which the home had everything we needed to cook. We would definitely go back. John was quick to respond to any question of issue that we had.

Ok stay

The set up of the house & location were great however it definitely needs some updates & new carpet. The owner & manager were responsive and overall a good stay just high priced compared to other homes we’ve stayed at in Tahoe.

Family Get together

Owner was responsive to our questions and request. Property manager did not respond to our message until we contacted the owner. Beds were too soft. The cabin was well equipped. The cabin is located away from the busiest areas but close enough to walk to shops and the beach.

We love Al Tahoe! Al Tahoe is one of South Lake Tahoe's oldest and most historic neighborhoods. It is located in the center of South Lake Tahoe between Regan Beach and Lake Tahoe Blvd, quickly accessible as it's close to Highway 50. It is extremely safe for strolling with small children and long jogs/runs in the Meadow. Regan Beach is just a short walk away from our home with a playground for kids and many geese to chase! Other Lake Tahoe activities are very near to the Al Tahoe area including Heavenly Valley Ski & Village, Camp Ricardson/Valhalla Historic Resort, Emerald Bay, Casino Corridor, and the El Dorado Beach Recreation Area/boat ramp.

We want your stay at South Lake Lodge to be like that at a high-end Bed & Breakfast. You'll find no 70's furniture, orange shag rugs, or funky tile here - we've completely gutted and replaced the bathrooms, kitchen, flooring, fixtures, lighting and added high-end furnishing for your (and our) comfort and enjoyment. Our hope is that you'll treat South Lake Lodge like your own and keep coming back to stay with us.
