Charming unit and location
We used this condo as a base for both Zion (75 minutes) and Bryce (60 minutes) Canyons. Duck Creek Village looks like a growing ATV resort community, although we visited before peak season. The unit was clean and well equipped with everything we needed, and there were great instructions from the owners ahead of time and in the unit. Thank you for a great stay!
Summer Retreat 2019
We were immediately awed and impressed by the condo appearance and condition when stepping inside. The ambiance was really nice and relaxing!
Given the unseasonably cold temperatures outside (even had snow the first day we were there) the heating system was wonderful. Definitely cozy without feeling “cramped.” Just loved the knotty pine all around and openness if the living-dining-kitchen area.
Overall, very enjoyable accommodations!
Cozy stay in Duck Creek
We decided to stay in Duck Creek because it's located between our destinations of Bryce and Zion and was more affordable than the rentals closer to the parks. The accommodations were spacious and clean and the smaller of the three bedrooms was perfect for our toddler. The kitchen was well stocked with the equipment we needed to cook our meals, which was nice because if you come in the off season like we did, most of the restaurants are going to be closed and there aren't many options for food nearby. We had a great time and plan to come back in the fall to see the leaves change color.
Clean and cozy
We enjoyed our stay here! It's nestled in the midst of lovely mountain views. We appreciated how clean the condo was, and the wood-burning stove made for very cozy evenings. The wifi connection in the condo was very good, but be prepared for very spotty cell phone service in the area. The laundry facilities in the condo were much appreciated. We read the reviews about the need for a 4-wheel drive vehicle, but we figured that we'd be okay for our visit in April. Not so! The short drive up the hill to the condo is steep; and a burst of wet, slushy snow turned the driveway to impassable mud. We were able to find alternative parking accommodations for the night (things were dryer and passable the next day); but this condo is in the mountains, so be aware of driving conditions. The little Duck Creek Village is a stone's throw away and full of hospitality and friendly folks. (Especially Sue's Cafe!) We visited Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park during our stay here. We enjoyed the condo and the beauty of southern Utah very much!
I was really looking forward to this cute condo. Unfortunately it wasn’t as great as we had hoped. It was really a pain to have to park in the front (while carrying everything), walk up the muddy, rocky, slippery, dirt road to get to the back (the only condo entrance) and have to walk through three feet of snow to even get to the front door. There was no pathway to the door at all, not even an attempt to clear snow away!! I fell twice trying to get through that snow every time we came and went. Such a hassel!
I spoke to another renter that came the day after we did to stay in one of the other condo’s and he refused to stay because of the conditions. He was baffled like myself??
That and the broken toilet that needed to be plunged after every use, made for a dissapointing stay. I left a msg with the owner letting him know about the toilet, about me falling twice trying to get through the three feet of snow. He responded saying that he had been up to the condo the day before we came and the toilet worked just fine. That was it!?? I would never go back! We loved Bryce Canyon and Zion’s though!!
I apologize you didn't enjoy your stay. Unfortunately there was a warm up a few days before your stay which thawed the road making it muddy. This time of year between the Winter going into Spring, makes the conditions unpredictable.
Great peaceful place!
This spot was great to get away from Vegas for the holidays! Beautiful forestry right outside the door with a great little sledding hill for some fun in the snow! The interior of the condo was clean and well kept. Very cozy and the fireplace was great! There’s a little village directly across the street. The parking and getting to the front door of the condo was a little tricky with the snow and ice but we made it work. Toboggans were provided to help get belongings from the car to the door. Also you have to dispose of your trash bags on your own. No receptacles nearby outside. Overall this place was great and we’d definitely come back again!
