The beach is located in the middle of town and is ideal for children and non-swimmers due to its slowly deepening water. The nearest large city is, about 15 km away, Ueckermünde with many shops, a beautiful old town, the harbor, the Haffmuseum and numerous cultural events. From or to here there is also a rail connection with bus connection to Altwarp. From Ueckermünder harbor cruises are an experience with shore after Neuwarp, Szczecin and Swinoujscie. You can also rent small boats from here and use them to paddle up and down the Uecker. Other attractions in the region include the Botanical Garden in Christian Berg, the zoo in Ueckermünde and the Ukranenland in Torgelow.
