We had a great stay in Three Rivers. Bettina was a gracious host, leaving oranges and cookies out for our arrival and bringing us a fresh egg everyday for my son, but otherwise very discrete. The house is very cool, with a spacious yet cozy upstairs "great room" and kitchen, and a large master and two additional bedrooms downstairs. Perfect for a family with kids and lots to check out around the property including a fishing pond. About 15 minutes to the entrance to Sequoia National Park.
...says something. Bettina's farm is just one of our favorite places to stay. Great for kids, in a beautiful location that is beyond relaxing, with a host who is as kind as she is generous. Definitely recommend for anyone thinking of traveling to Three Rivers.
This is a great spot close to the park with a nice country feel. I stayed with my sister and retired parents for five days and then ended up staying on alone for another couple of nights to accommodate a business trip. I was definitely not in a hurry to leave! It has a really peaceful, calm feel to the place. Logistics to the parks is as good as you can get, barring actually staying in the park, so you're guaranteed to have lots of curvy road driving. This is a universal truth of national parks after all!
Bettina was a gracious hostess and she did everything she could to make our stay comfortable. The wifi was strong, which was good since I spent some time working remotely. One morning at around 10am while tapping away on my keyboard I looked up to see a very healthy looking bobcat cruise through the woods just behind the house. And seeing quail come through the yard a couple times was a treat.
We were very pleased with our stay at the farm house. Bettina was an excellent host. She was very good with our 5 and 8 year old boys and gave us good tips about Sequoia National Park and Three Rivers. Thanks to her advice, we saw a black bear in the park. The property has a great view of Moro Rock. The kids really enjoyed feeding the animals.
There were no pictures of the bathrooms, which made me a little nervous, but they were clean and well maintained like the rest of the house. There is a Weber grill in the yard available for use. Bettina was nice enough to give us a couple farm fresh eggs and a jar of her apricot preserves.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bettina’s lovely farm! The house is cozy and spacious at the same time. The kitchen is very well equipped and we enjoyed starting the day with breakfast on the front patio looking out at the mountains and dinner on the lovely back patio under a tree strung with lights after a day of hiking. The animals, including donkeys, ducks and chickens, made it feel like you were much further out in the country than you are. The location, about 6 miles outside of Sequoia National Park, is ideal. Three Rivers is small but we found had very good eateries. Bettina is a very gracious hostess and has a wealth of information about the area and the park. We highly recommend this lovely farmhouse!
We had the pleasure of staying in Bettina's farmhouse for three nights in July. Bettina is a warm and gracious host, and the farmhouse is clean, charming, and an absolute playground for children. Our two boys aged 6 and 4 loved feeding the donkeys and the horse, eating mulberry berries off the tree, playing with the friendly dog and cat, and so much more. There was musical instruments inside for them to try, a ping pong table out the back, and an outdoor bathtub! We also saw many animals at the farm that we didn't see in Sequoia park- a family of quail, a woodpecker, frogs, and more. It was s lovely and relaxing place to come to after a day's hike in the park, and I can't thank Bettina enough for sharing her home with us.
