I have never been in a rental home that is so well equipped with anything and everything you can need! The house was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The hot tub on the back deck was perfectly set so you can hear the waterfall that is behind the home. You can control the temperature very easily and that's awesome when it's 7 degrees outside! The rooms are a good size and we were never cramped. (Group of five people went.) I would 100% recommend it. The only complaint I have is that it's close to a semi busy road, BUT that was also a plus when it snowed because we were able to get out of the driveway easily.
The owners were wonderful!! Anytime I had a question, it was answered quickly. Got the deposit back in a very timely manner.
Again, wonderful cabin! Thanks for everything!!
My husband and I wanted a nice, quiet little get-away from all the hustle and bustle of life and this was it!! The cabin was very well kept, clean, and had all amenities needed. The owner's were great in telling you what you needed to bring. The hot tub was fantastic and our dogs loved the back porch to sit and chill while my husband and I hung out in the hot tub. The cabin is only about 25-30 minutes away from Asheville and some smaller little towns (Canton and Waynesville), but far enough out that you feel as though you are having a truly mountain experience. The ONLY negative would be that the cabin is close to the road, however, in all honesty, it's a little country road so there is not a lot of traffic. Also, some of the towels and wash cloths smelled a little sour, as though they had been left in the washer too long; but nothing that we couldn't fix! Other than that, this cabin was all that we hoped for! We truly enjoyed ourselves. We didn't get a chance to write in the guestbook there and share our experience so we wanted to do it here! The first day we road the Blue Ridge Parkway and hiked some trails. The next day, we had a scheduled tour at the Biltmore. It was beautiful. Before our tour, we went to Asheville and had lunch at Pack's Tavern (this place is a must). All in all, our little vacation was absolutely wonderful and the owner's of this cabin attributed to that. I would definatley recommend this awesome gem to anyone wanting a quick get-away or nice long vacation. Thank you again for your hospitality!!
We loved this cabin and the location. What a gem the Brown's have here! We spent a few days here and were so sad when it was time to leave. This cabin has everything you need, it's your home away from home. The remodeling of this 1938 cabin is amazing. Every comfort you need with a great cabin feel. The creek and the waterfall will make you relax and enjoy the property even more! I can close my eyes and still hear the sound of the moving water! The hot tub was also a plus and a great way to end a day! Please don't hesitate to rent this cabin. The only bad thing I can say is, after renting it you will not want to leave it! We intend to go back! Have had several friends ask about it too!!
I don't know how I missed the fact that this cabin was built in 1938, but we discovered when we checked in. What a great job remodeling the Brown's did! I have to mention that for our entire week stay, we were focused on hurricane Matthew making its way to our home and our friends and families homes. Needless to say, our stress levels were high. Not your normal vacation to say the least, but amongst the worrying, there wasn't anywhere we'd rather have been besides this quaint and serene cabin. The backyard, creek and waterfall was just what we needed to ease our anxiety, and if you have a dog, they will love it too! I had brought a crockpot and some cooking items only to find that it wasn't necessary, since the cabin is so well stocked. If you ride, and are leary of those switchback dirt and gravel roads climbing a mountain like I am, you will really appreciate the ease of access to this property. We will definitely be back, and hopefully under different circumstances, so we can truly relax and appreciate this adorable cabin to it's fullest. Thank you Kathy for all the quick responses and communication, it was very much appreciated. Best regards, Honey Bolea
We had a great time. This was our second trip here but first with our daughter who is 3. She absolutely loved seeing all the animals on the way there and then enjoying the creek and hot tub. We are returning soon. Maybe sooner then orginal planned
My wife and I loved staying in Cozy Cabin up in the mountains. We were close to Lake Junaluska for jogging and walking and to Waynesville for shopping and eating. Blue Rooster Southern Grill was our favorite. We traveled to Asheville for the antique malls and up Max Patch Road to wilderness. We traveled on the Blue Ridge Parkway and our favorite road was the precarious Route 215. When our grandchildren came to visit we had both incredible pictures of the Milky Way at the top of Max Patch, 8 miles from the cabin in the wilderness and also of a beautiful ice on the trees one morning. We enjoyed a family campfire in the backyard and hiking up the farmer’s old roads. Haywood County has the highest mean elevation of any county east of the Mississippi! 8” of snow on November 1st was a treat since we are from snow country. Seeing elk up close at Cataloochee Ranger Station was a thrill - surrounded by 6000’ peaks – was only 11 miles away. The hottub was very relaxing both in sunny weather and in the snow. The cabin was cozy and had all the utensils that we needed for a month.
