My family (2 adults and 2 children) stayed at 129 Morning Street for 2 week in June. The location is fantastic close to the old Port, East Prom, playground and easy access to the interstate to get to South Portland or to head north.
The apartment is just as nice as the pictures and the property as a whole is fantastic. I would highly recommend for your stay in Portland.
This was our third rental with Portland Maine Rentals in an apartment on the Eastern Promenade. As always, the apartments are filled with light, beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. There are small, well-kept gardens on each side of the buildings. We love being across the street from the Promenade, which offers views of Casco Bay, nice walks and bicycle paths, free tennis courts and a playground for our granddaughter. This year, we were there for the Fourth of July fireworks, directly across from our apartment. Thousands of people converged on the Promenade that night for the festivities but the next day, crews quickly cleaned up the park and everything was back to normal.
Positives: Very clean unit with quality linens/towels. The kitchen was well equipped with attention to detail (dish / dishwasher detergent, paper towel etc.) Owner was available to answer questions and even shared his kitchen garden produce! Will stay again if/when in Portland.
Negatives: The washer/dryer is not in the unit so have to go outside the unit and pay for it. Also, the unit can really use either a fan or AC in the FR or dining area.
Overall a very satisfying experience!!!
My family and I have vacationed at this property for several years. Grounds are beautifully kept- with new additions every year- and the unit is spotless and spacious. Walking distance to Blue Spoon Restaurant (and others) shops, and East End beach which is lovely. My son is 6 and he loves it there- perfect for small parties without having to go to Old Orchard Beach. The staff are first rate and Tyson is extremely responsive and helpful.
Without a doubt, one of the finest rentals and rental companies I have had the pleasure of working with. As a property manager, my standards and expectations are high and each one was met and often exceeded. From the LLBean bedding, to the cleanliness, to the immediate responsiveness when repairs were needed I cannot recommend this unit or this company enough.
Beautiful accommodations and centrally located in close proximity to the waterfront.(Casco Bay) Plenty of green space including walking and biking trails. Easy access to "Old Port" and downtown by vehicle but quite a hike for seniors. I would absolutely consider returning and recommending to others. The property was an excellent fit for two couples providing space and privacy for each couple Extra touches included unlimited access to the fruit and vegetable gardens as well as beautiful outdoor patio areas. The parking was also an asset.....convenient and safe.
Property manager was easy to access and helpful in coordinating arrival.Only suggestion for improvement would be perhaps more information provided on arrival such as a pamphlet including grocery store location, places to eat, things to see and do in the area and local highlights Overall experience....excellent.
