If you enjoy the simple life, come to us on Cayman's beautiful North shore. This is a place where you can go barefoot all day long and never have to dress for dinner, where you can swim and splash, build sand castles or snorkel out to the reef from a beach that is practically your own. We are part of the original Cayman Kai resort, generously laid out over 3 acres. Our lodges have screened front and back porches and the characteristic pointy roofs, which collect rainwater, provide us with cathedral ceilings and have withstood many a hurricane. All lodges are fitted with louvre doors which allow the breezes to circulate freely and obviate the need for air conditioning. Whether you are a botanist or a biologist, a birdwatcher, a dreamer, a reader, or a family with children, you are likely to enjoy your stay.
Rum Point: Need action? Rum Point, a local favorite, is just a short walk or drive away. Red Sail Sports provides any kind of watersports, including Scuba and excursions to Stingray City. There are picnic tables and food, the Shipwreck bar, a gift shop, showers, complimentary beach beds, sun and shade. We recommend it during rough weather and especially for small children. It is protected from the wind, and the water is really shallow.
Botanic Park. Mastic Trail.: The Botanic Park, gold medalist at the Chelsea Flower Show in London, lets you view a dazzling array of native and tropical plants. Visit the Heritage House, identify water birds at the pond, walk the nature trail, meet the Blue Iguana.
To see Cayman's interior, explore the Mastic Trail. Takes a few hours. All the snakes are non-poisonous.
Other activities: Check local events: Pirates Week, marathons, farmers markets, duplicate bridge, church services, Governor's Open House. Make sure to visit Pedro's Castle, a reconstructed plantation house. Have a look at 7 Mile Beach. Go dive, see the dolphins, do pottery with the children, eat out, dance, be happy
