We had a wonderful stay at Tower Lofts of Villa Venti. We were there for three nights and stayed in the upper loft. Glen met us at the ferry and took us on a memorable trip to the villa ( inside joke :-) The space is clean and modern, with amazing views to both the north and south sides of the island. The north view is what you see from your bed when you wake up or drift off to sleep. There is a constant cooling and refreshing breeze that flows through the space. I am assuming this is why there were no annoying bugs at all. The rooftop provided an additional area to hang with 2 comfortable lounge chairs and wide open views in all directions. Looking at the stars at night from up there is amazing. As mentioned in other reviews, Chef Alex can prepare meals if requested. I would definitely save one night for that experience. We ate poolside on the night we arrived.. the food was excellent and the setting perfect.....The villa location is right in the middle of the island making it easy to get to anywhere.. The only issue with the accommodations, was the pool. It looked as though it could have used some maintenance (less than clear water).. I still went in, but my wife would not. This was not a big deal for us, as we spent most of our time at one of the beautiful Vieques beaches.....A 4x4 is a must. The drive up to the villa is steep and the first part of it is unpaved. We never had any issues in the jeep that we rented.
We were concerned about having internet/cell access, but the Sprint connection we had was better than what we get in Chicago. We were able to video chat with our kids without issue... I believe that wireless access is available as well, but we never needed it.
Overall I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a relaxing, stress free, and secluded trip to paradise. The views are un-ending, and the island itself is wonderful.... Alex and Glen, thank you for sharing your home with us. We look forward to seeing you two in the future.
My husband and I stayed at the house during our honeymoon and we loved it! The place is beautiful with amazing views and a beautiful pool. The pictures don't do it justice! The house is high up and isolated which gave us lots of privacy. The house comes with all amenities and the owners helped us with great recommendations of what to do on the island. Be sure to rent a jeep because any other car won't get you around. We hope to come back for another trip!
If we had known how fabulous Villa Venti was, we would have stayed longer. The setting of the place is stunning. The decor of the interiors is simple and beautiful and extremely comfortable. Alex and Glen are marvelous hosts and made us feel welcome in their beautiful home. We stayed in the studio...wherever we looked, our eye rested on something wonderful...indoors or out. Alex made us a delicious dinner. His chef's skills are superlative. Villa Venti was the nicest place we stayed and our meal there was the best. From the location high on the hill, to the artwork, to the most comfortable bed, to the outdoor shower, to the friendly and relaxed hosts....this is THE place to stay when on Vieques.
Glen and Alex were the perfect hosts and so helpful to my husband and I . We were married on Blue beach 7/1/12 and they set up and created the perfect picnic for us on the beach. Villa Venti was fabulous. Everything about it was perfectly balanced, very clean and it was easily accessible to anything we wanted to do. We will be back. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get away from the resort crowd and have an adventure.
My fiance (wife now) stayed here for 6 nights and to say the least the expierence was amazing. We rented out loft 2 which consists of the second level of the tower and the roof top deck. I had been wanting to stay at this home for well over a year and I have to say I was more impressed with it than I could of dreamed. The owners (Glen and Alex) are both great guys and very helpful. We took full advanatage of the unique living quarters and also had a great meal that Alex prepared by the pool one evening (full moon to highten the experience). This was our first trip to Vieques, though we go to Puerto Rico every 6 months at a minimum. Needless to say The tower lofts are going to become a regular stop for us. From the incredible views, the outdoor shower and the spectacular pool we could not have been happier. Thank you Glen and Alex for opening up your home to us and being such gracious hosts. We can't wait to come back! If you are looking for a truely memorable experience this is the place to stay! We are all ready planning a return trip to the island in December and you better believe we will be staying in the Tower lofts.
We enjoyed a 5 night stay here in February. Spectacular views of the sea and Isabel La Segunda. The owners reside in the main house where the pool is located. They were very helpful with directions and reccomendations. A car is necessary for exploring Vieques and its many beaches. Much of the island is protected as a National Wildlife Refuge and the surrounding waters are ideal for kayaking and snorkeling. We enjoyed the one hour, fifteen minute ferry ride from Fajardo PR as an alternative to flying from San Juan. Vieques is casual, not for the glamour seekers.
