I can't say anything about the apartment, because I can't convert my eyes experience into word.

Great vacation with the great apartment.

Absolutely I will come again.

Grindelwald mit tollem Ausblick

Die Wohnung war genau wie im Internet beschrieben. Sie ist in einem sehr guten Zustand und hervorragend ausgestattet (viele kleine Details wurden bedacht). Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war sehr freundlich und Fragen wurden sehr schnell beantwortet. Insgesamt ein absolut reibungsloser Ablauf mit super Betreuung. Noch zu erwähnen ist der tolle Ausblick vom Balkon und die günstige Lage zum Ortskern. Die Wohnung ist sehr empfehlenswert.

Incredible view, lovely apartment

This was our second summer stay in this apartment and we loved it just as much as the first. The flat is very well located near the train station and central town shopping, but it is also very peaceful with its incredible terrace looking up on the Eiger. The flat is very clean, comfortable, and has everything that you could possibly need. We had incredible weather on this trip and managed to do some wonderful walks with the children... from First to the Falhourn, the Eiger trail, and best of all...the Panorama walk at Schynyge Platte. We also enjoyed the swimming and ice skating at the local leisure centre. Thank you for another wonderful family holiday.

5 Star accommodation amazing views of the Eiger

Fantastic location, amazing stunning views to die for of the Eiger and surrounding mountains from the large balcony. What a setting to wake up to each morning, snow capped mountains, chalets and green countryside. A 5 minute walk to food shops, bakery, transport etc .The apartment in the chalet is in a quiet street, home from home. Beautifully furnished, modern, superb equipment, clean, comfortable, spacious, immaculate, very nice décor. Mariella has paid every attention to detail.Very stylish has everything you need. A lovely relaxing place to return to after a days exploring the village and region.

Mariella was so helpful with the booking and made us feel very welcome. We also had a warm welcome on arrival from "D" who gave us lots of information about the area, walks and excursions we could do and also showed us around the apartment. The bottle of champagne on arrival was very much appreciated and enjoyed with our dinner on the balcony.

Our stay in Grindelwald at Breithorn apartment was the highlight of our trip. We hope to return one day.

Perfect vacation apartment

The apartment is very conveniently located near the train station, and there is even a village busstop a stone's throw away. The check in process is seamless, and property manager D was extremely helpful.

The views from the apartment are spectacular and tops off the experience of staying there. Every inch of the apartment is so clean (even the crockery and utensils) it looks almost brand new. My family certainly enjoyed our stay there and will not hesitate to recommend it to our friends.

Just Incredible!

Another reviewer mentioned this and I totally agree; the photos on this rental don't adequately represent the grandeur of the location! We spent 4 nights here after having been on an extremely rigorous group tour and we absolutely loved unwinding in the serenity and comfort of this location.

It is on the 3rd floor with no lift which could be a problem for some folks. It has no fireplace because it has floor heating but, honestly, this was much better. The temperature is controlled centrally and it is just right all the time. If you are a bit warm, open a window. I really loved waking up in the morning and not being cold. Plus, the warm floor in the bathroom was great for bare feet! Of course, I'm an engineer so such things interest me and probably not so much you :)

So, let me talk about more vacationy things like the awesome view from the balcony! And hearing the cow bells in the distance (not bothersome at all). And the view of Eiger mountain as it soars above your line of sight, seemingly right in your backyard! The balcony is huge and the windows offer unobstructed views of the mountains and village. It's neat to watch the clouds pour over the back of Eiger towards you.

You can borrow DVDs and books from a bookcase in the entry. The laundry room was very clean and attached to the entry. There are only 8 or 10 apartments in the unit and we never saw another person while we were there...except for "D". He's been mentioned a lot by other renters but I'll try to add something different. D will contact you to schedule a time to stop by at your convenience, usually on your second day there, to make sure any questions you might have are answered. I was expecting a boisterous, jolly, Italian man for some reason (the things your mind comes up with!) but he's actually a fairly young, soft-spoken Irishman. He spent over an hour with us but only because we kept him chatting and, being engineers, we had odd interests in things like the heating :) D was very knowledgeable about the area and left brochures and maps for us. He was available via email in case we needed anything during our stay.

Mariella maintains a well-stocked kitchen with plenty of staples like paper towels, dish washing/laundry supplies, spices, oils, sugar, salt and pepper. Coffee works on the honor system.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We have stayed at several VRBO rentals and I'd honestly say that this was the best! Plus, did I mention the views?
