Second bedroom (upstairs) has a queen bed, one single bed and a fold out single bed.

Downstairs bedroom area opens onto another deck with outdoor table and chairs. This room has a queen bed, small kitchenette with fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and television with free view.

There is a bathroom on each level, upstairs is semi en-suite, both updated recently. A third toilet (also updated) with full size vanity unit upstairs. Huge internal access garage includes laundry with washing machine and dryer plus beer fridge/freezer. There is also an outdoor clothes line with pegs. Outdoor shower with hot water for when you return from the beach. Room to park a boat.

The large double internal access garage has a comfortable king bed if the bedroom bed configuration doesn't suit. The garage has garage carpet and blinds. Maximum of eight guests at any time.

The house is across the road from the beach, shops, cafes, Cadera bar/restaurant, surf club (patrolled in summer) and Mahy Reserve/playground. There is a surf school at nearby West End. Walk to secluded Otarawairere Bay or to the nearby Fairbrother Loop at the bottom of the Ohope hill. Nearby is the Nga Tapuwae o Toi and Kohi Point walkway from Ohope to Whakatane. Ohiwa Harbour with boat ramp, fishing, water sports , kayak, SUP and e-bike hire is a ten minute drive away, as is the Ohope golf course.

Whakatane is a six km drive away over the hill with restaurants, cafes, shopping and boat ramp. There is another boat ramp at Port Ohope. Try Whakamax with five movie screens or the Aquatic Centre to entertain the kids if the weather is wet. Just a bit further afield are the Awakeri Hot Pools. The local berry farms serve amazing ice creams, pick your own strawberries plus there is a petting zoo for young children. Take a tour boat trip out to the bird sanctuary at Whale Island (Moutohora). Rotorua, Tauranga and Mt Maunganui are a one hour drive away.
