Fishing Creek, Log Cabin & 23 Acres, Backs to National Forest!
Simply magnificent! Truly one of a kind! On a fishing creek, with a large pond, directly adjacent to National Forest on 2 sides. Stunning peak views. End of the road privacy but with easy access from county road. Perfect log home and setting most only dream of. A privilege to see!

PEASE BE AWARE - This whole area is high altitude. Breckenridge is 10K and the cabin is 11K. If anyone in your group has ever had altitude sickness or has compromised health issues, I would not recommend staying in this area. Drinking lots of extra water, little or no alcohol/caffeine consumption (because it dehydrates) and no strenuous activities for a day or 2 while your body acclimates helps the most.

We have had several inquiries for the Leadville 100 and it takes approximately 1 hour to drive to Leadville from the property.

3 Bedrooms plus a loft, 2 Bathrooms plus a laundry/mud room. Large covered deck wraps around 3 sides with awe inspiring views all around!

Locked gate and long treed driveway make it feel like you are on 500 acres. Wildlife viewing (Moose, Mtn. Sheep, Elk, Beaver, and Humming Birds), snowshoeing, hiking & fishing on site are endless. Expansive views in all directions. Pike National Forest land next door has terrific treed hillsides, great trails, and summer Elk Habitat, even a waterfall!

Easy to reach, just 5 miles off CO Hwy 9. 23 miles to Breckenridge (approx. 35 minutes) with famous ski and golf areas. Forty minutes away is Buena Vista with whitewater rafting. Fairplay is right next door with world famous trout fishing, historic South Park and all the services you could need.

Best experience

Absolutely amazing. My family and I will definitely stay here again. Breath taking view, loved that it was secluded, and peaceful. My kids enjoyed playing in the snow. This place really exceeded my family's expectations. Overall , a great place to stay at.

Absolutely PERFECT in every way!

I always spend days searching for a rental with complete privacy and something off the beaten path. This cabin was PERFECT! The photos do not do it justice! It has a BREATHTAKING view of the mountain valley and sits on a pond that we fly fished and creeks just outside the cabin. The sound of the creek was so peaceful! We sat in the adirondack chairs with coffee every morning and watched the bull moose wander by almost every day of our stay. Just be aware if you hike around since they can by laying down in the brush nearby. We fed the chipmunks & blue jay everyday on the porch posts. The cabin itself is VERY clean, cozy & comfortable in every way. We had a fire in the wood stove which warmed up the entire cabin. The kitchen was the most well-stocked of any rental we've ever stayed in. The owner truly has all the details covered. It felt like HOME! And, it's only 15 minutes to town! Although everything about the rental was perfect, unfortunately my husband and I experienced altitude sickness (the cabin sits at 11,000 feet). My husband got better after 48 hours but I did not. I had SEVERE headaches with a scary amount of head pressure(not your normal migraine), nausea & fatigue.They got worse at night. Almost DebiIitating. I am in great shape & very active so this took me by surprise. Please do your research on altitude sickness. We ended leaving a day early I just couldn't get any relief even with oxygen cans & Motrin. I was so sad to leave this peaceful place! Just book it!

Beautiful Cabin

This is such a beautiful cabin set back in the mountain valley. Looking at the scenery and listening to the creek was just the tranquility we needed. We saw 6 moose! 2 from the cabin porch and 4 others on the road to/from the cabin, also had mule deer at the cabin multiple times. Beds were super comfortable, and we felt right at home, even enjoyed a few fires in the woodstove. The high altitude at the cabin is really felt and physically hindering since we had a cold while visiting. Our dog did great and loved playing in the creek. Thank you so much for allowing pets!

Beautiful

Stunning views with the relaxing sounds of the creek in the background. Several trails were within 30 minutes and under drive time from the cabin. Secluded and full of wildlife yet still close to town. We loved staying here, thank you for sharing your home with us!

While visiting family in the Breckenridge, CO area for summer and winter vacations, we fell in love with the area and decided it would be a wonderful place to own a second home. When we found this cabin, we knew it was meant to be. We were so mesmerized by the property and cabin, that we lost track of time and missed our plane home. We love how you feel when you're at the cabin. You're away from all the stresses of daily life without being isolated. The surrounding mountains and creeks and pond make it special. It's a place for us to reconnect with family and nature. And it doesn't hurt that there are so many fun things to do nearby!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Some of our favorite activities include packing a lunch and hiking right out the door and up Mt. Sherman. It is known as one of the easiest fourteeners and the views are amazing. There are various picnic tables and chairs and on a clear night, you can see the Milkyway. Horseback riding, ATV rentals, and white water rafting are all close by. Fishing and gold panning in the creeks and pond are a favorite with the men and kids. And there's a grocery store 10 minutes away with everything you'll need for the pantry and cooking on the grill. Our favorite places to eat in Fairplay are the Brown Burro Cafe (Delicious Mexican), cheese steaks at the Dinky Dairy and everything at Millonzi's. And let us not forget Breckenridge - 23 miles from the cabin door - has everything a resort town can offer. Skiing, golfing, biking, ice skating, shopping, restaurants, tours and events.... We love it all and think you will too!
