This cottage sleeps three people in two bedrooms, consisting of one double and one single, along with a compact shower room. The cottage also has a kitchen and a sitting room with dining area and woodburning stove. Outside there's an enclosed patio with furniture and roadside parking in a side street next to the cottage. Bakers Cottage is a great base for exploring Cumbria and the Lake District National Park. One well behaved dog welcome.

Town: Kirkby Thore is a small Cumbrian village situated within easy driving distance of both Appleby-in-Westmorland and Penrith. The village sits on the site of a Roman cavalry camp, and today offers a church, a shop with Post Office, a pub and a petrol station. The historic town of Appleby-in-Westmorland is a major stop on the Settle-Carlisle Railway and every June the town plays host to a three hundred-year old Horse Fair. Also within reach is the bustling market town of Penrith, which has a number of specialist shops, sandstone buildings, pubs and restaurants, plus Ullswater and the Lake District National Park are nearby.
