Internal Living | Bedrooms & Bathrooms
Sokaki Villa II covers 187 sq. m. in its two levels and offers delightful accommodation for up to 8 people in its four beautifully designed bedrooms. The design is an inspired fusion of contemporary and rustic style with elements of traditional Cretan architecture.

Ground Floor
Entering the Villa guests will find the open-plan, dining table and living room area, with a comfortable corner sofa and an open fireplace, where you could enjoy watching your favourite movie, or pick a film or a book from the ones available there. Across the dining area, under a lovely stone arch, you’ll find the fully equipped kitchen with an extra dining area. Both living room and kitchen areas open up to the outdoor sitting area and provide direct access to the pool and terrace area. Furthermore, guests will find the first bedroom of the Villa, featuring a double bed. The bedroom is lightened up with natural light from the window. Last but not least, an en-suite bathroom with a shower cabin with hydromassage facilities can also be found on this level.

First Floor
Some stairs above, the remaining three bedrooms are there to welcome you, all of them featuring two single beds (that are joined together to form king sized beds). What's more, all of the bedrooms offer balcony access, to a pergola covered, shaded large veranda with siting area. Finally, a family bathroom with a bathtub with hydromassage facilities is available on this floor.

It’s worth mentioning that Sokaki Villa II is also very baby friendly oriented, equipped with all the necessary equipment a family travelling with a baby will need, including:

Location Overview
Sokaki Villa II is located in the picturesque village of Chromonastiri and is located within walking distance to local tavernas, cafe and mini market. It has been classified as a preserved and traditional heritage site of great cultural value and it’s considered as one of the most important historic settlements of Rethymno. Chromonastiri means 'Colour Monastery' after the Byzantine church dating from the 11th century. Within this pretty village there are numerous stone paths, historic alleys, buildings with Venetian architectural elements are scattered in the village, but the most imposing building is the so-called Villa Claudio, a magnificent mansion, which has been restored and now houses an Army museum.

Furthermore, a 5X5 football field and a children’s playground is available at the village. Additionally, its location and surrounding area makes it a perfect destination for a relaxing family holiday close to nature.

Nearby locations include:
-Mili Gorge, a stunning green oasis, offering a wonderful hike through the gorge of mills, located within 5 minutes driving. It is actually a ravine, which hosts a huge number of plants and trees, a real botanic garden. It collects water from the north slopes of Mount Vrysinas and starts north of the village Chromonastiri and south of the settlement Xero Chorio. In the recent years it attracts many hikers  who trek along a nice trail that crosses the entire valley.

-Military Museum Chromonastiri - within 600 meters walking distance
The Military Museum is situated on the southern tip of the Municipal district of the village of Chromonastery , 11klm southeast of Rethymno and on the northern rims of mountain Vrysinas, at an altitude of 360m. From a historical viewpoint, Chromonastery is one of the most remarkable historic villages of Crete as the history of the region goes back to the Middle-Minoan period(20th16th century B.C.) from which various temples and a great settlement have been found on mountain Vrysinas.

-In the nearby village of Saint Irene (Agia Irini) there is the homonymous old Monastery, which is considered to date back to the 14th century and is definitely worth a visit.

-Rethymno town, which is 15 minutes away by car, offers all the amenities guests will need, such as supermarkets, pharmacies, banks and ATM machines, restaurants, cafes and bars, post office etc.

Chromonastiri is also ideally located 10 minutes away by car from the beautiful sandy beach of Rethymno and it’s offered as a great base for exploring the nearby villages! The Mili Gorge, a wonderful leafy area, can be found 5 minutes away by car, along the Amari Road. There are also a several small ponds and a picnic area. Additionally, Roussospiti village, next to Chromonastiri, also a a preserved and traditional settlement, offers two traditional tavernas, playground, a cafe and mini market.

Additionally, from the village you can easily reach the highway leading to Chania and Heraklion cities.
