Lovely complex, but don't rent this property!!

Arrived at 4AM to the filthiest property (no 6) we've ever rented through VRBO. Bins overflowing, dirty floors, blood on toilet seats, blood stains in curtains, blinds falling of the ceiling. Absolutely shocking, not to mention a health hazard. My kids were nearly in tears and felt very uncomfortable in the apartment. The owner could not be reached, despite multiple calls, texts. Contacted the person who rents this on his behalf who could also not reach the owner. 3 cleaners were need to clean the property for 6 hours, removing bin liners of rubbish and linen. Ceiling lights not working, hair dryer dangerous. Property doesn't look like the pictures. Sofa disgusting; was cleaned twice by cleaners and a 3rd time with an upholstery cleaning machine, yet still full of black stains. Outside, crap everywhere. Hot tub shower head detached and a mess on the terrace. We've still not been offered an apology for the shocking state of this apartment. Other apartments next to us were beautiful and well maintained. This owner just wants the cash and not invest anything back in the property and maintain it. The complex itself is beautiful and in a nice, quiet location with good facilities. The communal pool is amazing and there is an excellent bar/restaurant on the complex which had the best meals we had in Turkey and was run by very friendly Turkish people. Info in the apartment severely lacking and outdated (who are Ozzie and Janet?) Book this complex, just not this apartment!!

Worst possible start

We arrived at the property at 11:30pm following a 4.5 hour flight and a further 55 minute transfer only to discover to our horror, that the owner had double booked the property for the first 2 nights of our stay. We were told that someone would take us to an unknown hotel in Side. Exhausted and furious, we ended up in an ants infested apartment with exposed wires in the hallway and as there were only 4 beds, we had to sleep on the sofa in the lounge! When we were transferred back to our original accommodation, which was great, we could not but think of how much more enjoyable the holiday could have been, had the error from the owner not have happened. I’m still unclear as to how this fundamental error could have happened. What measures can vbro undertake to ensure that this unforgivable episode does not happen to anyone else using vrbo.

Wir waren in der Nebensaison dort und hatten herrliche Ruhe. Es ist von Vorteil sich ein Auto zu mieten. Ca 300 Meter der Unterkunft befindet eine Vermietung zu fairen Preisen. Man kann aber auch vieles zu Fuß erreichen, sich ein Taxi oder Bus nehmen. In der Nebensaison sollte man beachten, das Bar und Restaurant der Anlage nicht besetzt sind und der Whirlpool, Sauna und Dampfsauna auf Nachfrage angeschaltet werden. Dies ist gar kein Problem. Der Manager vor Ort ist sehr nett. Auch der Online -Ansprechpartner beantwortet Fragen sehr schnell. Die Anlage ist sauber und gepflegt. Es gab täglich frische Orangen und Zitronen frisch vom Baum. Der große Markt in Manavgat ist ca 7km entfernt und immer Mo und Do.

Fabulous location

OD BABYLON We stayed in this apartment as a family of 6 for 13 days. All were really impressed with the size, views and the lovely setting close to the mountains. The resort itself was very well kept with lovely plants, clean pools and a lovely pool side bar and restaurant To sit in the hot tub and watch the sun set over the sea was bliss and we never tired of the view. Hiring a car for the whole duration would be a complete waste of money as everything is within easy walking distance. All in all a fantastic holiday. I would not hesitate to recommend Babylon .

How can anyone fail to have a wonderful holiday here?
I am lucky enough to be in the holiday business and can stay in many different homes but nothing compares in every respect. Both for me and my family.

On request we can provide 2 separate single beds for a small fee rather than using lounge sleep sofas
