Stunning spacious villa, we stayed August 2016 and had an amazing time. The villa is huge, all the 4 bedrooms have double beds, a balcony and ensuites. We stayed as a family of 5 and had so much space. The kids loved the added bonus of all the DVDs available.
The outside area is gorgeous with all the different trees and flowers. We all enjoyed the pool and the tennis court was an added bonus which we used every day.
The villa is about a 10 minute from Lagos which is a lovely town. Our favourite restaurant was Portofino's at the marina. The food was consistently outstanding and with a happy hour on certain dishes between 5.30-6.30pm it was also very reasonable.
The villa was spotlessly clean with the added bonus of the cleaner coming in again half way through our holiday. The management team were very good, coming back to us immediately with a query we had.
We really cant recommend this villa highly enough for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in the beautiful countryside and only a few minutes away from all the facilities Lagos Town has to offer.
Thanks Jem for allowing us to stay at your beautiful villa and look forward to booking again in the future :-)

This is a superb villa which is beautifully furnished, well designed & laid out. Plenty of different rooms/areas so you can always escape from the teenagers for some peace & quiet if necessary!! Very comfortable (never seen so many sofas in one villa) & perfect for relaxing. Lovely, friendly, very helpful manager close by if needed.
The outdoor area is wonderful, as well as your usual sunbeds & eating area there is an extremely comfy pair of chairs, sofa & garden swing - perfect for reading or backgammon competitions!!
Lovely large pool which is a must with children & the tennis court was a huge added bonus with 3 tennis players in the family!!
Lagos was approximately 10 minute (max) drive away & is a great place to go on an evening, very busy in August but we loved it!! Tried a different restaurant each night then returned to our favourite for the last two nights which was Veneza - excellent food each time.
Beaches are excellent in the Algarve & we always like to go off & explore new ones each day but the local Meia Praira is beautiful if you don't want to travel far.
In summary Zimbreira was perfect and I would definitely recommend to others. Pretty sure we will return in a couple of years (if the teenagers still want to holiday with their parents)!!
If you’re reading this review you’ve probably already looked at the details for Zimbreira – and doubtless think it looks fantastic. Well, you’d be wrong – it really is even better than it looks! The pictures simply don’t do justice to how comfortable and welcoming it is – the moment you arrive it seems to envelope you in a warm embrace like you’ve been there forever. The rooms are beautifully appointed in a way that can only have evolved over time and with a great deal of care, so everything just effortlessly complements itself. None of this can be conveyed in the pictures – in fact, there aren’t even any of the kitchen, even though this is a great room, with everything you could need for an extremely comfortable stay (including two large fridges, a washer/drier and a dishwasher). The other thing that cannot be conveyed is the seamless help that comes with the property – with wonderful neighbours to help and advise, a delightful maid and an invisible gardener! But now for the good bit… the outside. We were fortunate to arrive in the evening and were met by the stunning sight of the pool, which was aglow with the under-water lighting – it really was like something from a Hollywood film. Around the pool are so many places to relax it’s hard to know where to go – from basking in the heat by the side of the pool to the balmy serenity beneath the huge palm tree. And if you can summon up the energy there’s a fantastic tennis court – perfect for family knock abouts or practicing your serve! But if you prefer less energetic entertainment you can enjoy lazy meals around the large marble topped table on the terrace. While there’s so many more positive things that we could say about the house and surrounding area, we’ll leave all that for you to enjoy discovering, like we did. In fact, the only criticism we can rely levy at Zimbreira is that it totally undersells itself – but as we hope to go back there one day that’s probably good for us!
