This is a very pleasant and comfortable home with a small yard for our dogs to lounge around. Nicely appointed decor, great layout, and fully stocked kitchen, and close to everything yet seems a world of its own in a nice neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again as we pass through and explore the area.
This house is as described for the most part. Our problem was that we were unable to get a full night’s sleep our entire stay and decided to leave a day early because of that. The house literally sits on the corner and neighborhood traffic drives by the bedroom wall within a foot or two at the most. That made it difficult to fall asleep and sleep in. The biggest problem however, is that the house makes “popping” noises at night. The pops were loud enough to wake both of us several times each night and my husband is not a light sleeper. A warning does appear in the welcome letter so that visitors are not alarmed. Something to do with the weather changing it says. That’s not much comfort when you are awakened in the middle of the night and tired in the morning.
My friend and I stayed at Flying Adobe Casita for a week. The casita is clean, very comfortable and in a great location. We liked that we had our own space with two bedrooms, and found the casita to be very cozy. George is extremely easy to work with and he answered our questions immediately.
We walked to the Plaza, downtown galleries and shops, and up Canyon Road. We especially enjoyed the Georgia O'Keefe Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Native Arts, the open-air city tour, and the Santa Fe Museum of Indian Arts and Culture on Museum Hill. There are very nice restaurants near the casita and many more to choose from downtown.
We thought we would do a lot more than we did, but there is so much to see and do around the Santa Fe area. We visited three Native American Pueblos, hiked Bandelier National Monument and Kasha-Katuew Tent Rocks National Monument. The area is spectacular!
We would love to go back and certainly recommend Flying Adobe Casita!!
Home was very clean. George was prompt on answering any questions I had. I would recommend this home. It was a good value.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. George was a gracious host. The house was well located. It was bout a 12-15 minute walk to the main plaza. It was also about a mile from Whole Foods, Walgreen, Trader Joe's It was quite. We had everything we needed. There was easy access to St Francis st so we were able to go the the opera, Bandolier, Ojo Caliente easily. We plan on visiting Santa Fe in a couple of years and definitely want to stay here again. To answer the questions the place was clean, well maintained, quite and the description was very accurate. WE particularly liked Blue Corn, The Shea and the Burrito Company. Get a copy of what is happening in Santa Fe that week. We were able to listen to some great music. If you are planning to go to Santa Fe I would encourage you to consider this property.
George has done the vacation rental right, his place is clean, neat, well equipped, the bed is comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need minus the food you want to bring. Plenty of hot water for showers too. We walked to the plaza, it's less than 15 minutes and if you're a brisk walker, which we're not, you could get there quicker. His place is close to everything, good restaurants, good grocery stores, and at night, the street and neighborhood are quiet. It's a safe neighborhood as well, the streets around his place are filled with people walking their dogs and moms pushing their strollers, and there are lots of people on bikes throughout the neighborhood. I picked this place sight unseen, based on the reviews and how low of a price he charges. I add my 5-star review to the others already listed that helped me decide to choose this one over the other great listings.
Outras atividades: sítios arqueológicos, galerias de arte, eventos culturais, trilhas em montanhas.
