Wow I don't even know where to start. This cabin was simply so beautiful and the most homey, cozy place I could have ever visited. I am ever so Thankful I had found this place, within only a weeks notice. It had everything we were looking for, from the Astonishing Moutain Views, to undwinding in the hot tub after a busy day. I thought it was the coolest thing ever how the hot tub was right outside the door from the second bedroom which was downstairs. Also the hot tub is screened in which was perfect on a rainy day. There was A/C units on both Top & Mid level. Which the one on top was perfect for people who need noise or like it to be cold when they sleep, ( like me) haha. The cabin is VERY CLEAN & you can tell it has been very well kept. Nothing beats waking up early and watching the sunrise on the back deck! Also there is a grill so comes in handy if you plan on grilling out. Also the creek that sits right behind the cabin is just ever so peaceful. I can honestly say this was by far the best cabin experience I have ever had. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away from the world we all need to at times and this is the place to do it at. Plus the Landlords are the most sweetest, understanding people. They were so awesome, I really appreciate everything they did for us. It's so nice to see theyre still real genuine people out here. Hands down couldn't of asked for a better weekend this weekend was one for the memory books.! We hope to be back soon :)!!
Jennifer & Jeremy -
From the first moment we contacted the owners, our experience was first rate. Good communication gave us proper expectations, and upon arrival, everything was exactly as advertised. The cabin is clean, secluded and there was much more space than I expected. We absolutely loved the hot tub. There are great attractions in every direction, more than we were able to take in during our first visit. We can't wait to come back!
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the cabin, but there were definitely a few quirks with this rental. Firstly, we loved the location and peaceful setting around the cabin. The best part of our trip was sitting on the back deck, watching the sun set and enjoying the sound of a creek running through the property. The hot tub was excellent as well-- the best way relax after a day of hiking!
However, there were a few inconveniences we experienced during our stay. One day of our stay was unseasonably warm, and the top floor of the house heated up considerably. We didn't want to open the windows because there were no screens (not sure if maybe these get put on in the summer?) and it was quite buggy outside. There was a portable A/C unit upstairs which we ran for a bit, but we couldn't find a way to vent it outside, so it didn't make much of a difference. In the end, we ended sleeping on the futon on the main level, where there was an air conditioner. (There is a bed on the bottom level, which stayed nice and cool throughout our stay, but it's two levels down from the bathroom) Perhaps putting screens in the upstairs windows would help with this, or replacing the A/C unit upstairs.
Another inconvenience was that the stove was a little difficult to cook on- some of the burners were dirty and would smoke when heated. We didn't see a fire extinguisher so we decided not to use those burners.
Overall, the location, setting, and feel of the property were excellent. Taking care of those other quirks would make this a 5-star getaway, for sure!
My husband and I came here for a long weekend to get away from crazy life before I started school back up again! We loved our stay, and We will definitely keep this place in mind for the future (friends have already asked for contact info). We loved how homey and cute this place was. We loved coming home from, hiking in Shenandoah National park, driving through Blue Ridge Parkway, visiting a nearby winery to a wonderful relaxing hot tub. Nothing better than that! We also loved waking up to the sound of the nice creek in the back of the property. We highly recommend!! btw if you go into bedford county you have to eat at Liberty Station, we had the best food ever!!!!!!
Stayed here last weekend, already looking forward to our next trip. Such a quiet, peaceful getaway, We highly recommend!!!!
This cabin was the perfect place for a relaxing long weekend. It is secluded, quiet, has a cute stream in the backyard and a lovely view. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking your own meals (which is recommended since it is a bit of a drive into town/to a restaurant) and the whole cabin was clean and well-kept. The hot tub was the cherry on top and really made our stay perfect! Thanks Michael and Patricia for the lovely getaway!
