Esta casa espaçosa, moderna foi renovado em 2011 para incluir uma nova sala de jogos e 5 quartos. O quarto principal tem uma cama king-size e uma banheira de hidromassagem step-up. Quatro quartos adicionais incluem dois com camas queen size e dois com camas de casal. espaço adicional inclui um loft com um sofá-cama queen size, uma espaçosa sala de estar com um sofá-cama queen-size arrancamento (localizado no nível principal) e uma dupla dimensão puxe-cama no primeiro nível. Há três banheiros, duas lareiras a gás e ventiladores de teto. Também-louça, microondas, plana fogão, máquina de lavar / secar roupa e TV a cabo. Temporada de esqui: A casa vista para o lago está a poucos minutos de Jack Frost e pistas de esqui Big Boulder. Tem sido um magnífico inverno aqui no Poconos para esqui, snowboard e tubos.
My friends and i had stayed for a weekend in July and it was a great time we will never forget. The place was very well-maintained and clean. We spend most of the time relaxing and it was the perfect place to do so. I highly recommend it for friends and families.
I booked the property 2/22/16 for the weekend of 7/15/16 giving the owner the signed contract and a 50% down payment. I sent the remaining 50% of the contracted price on 6/29/16. On 6/30/16 the owner of the property notified me he had double booked the property, and it would not be made available to me. He acknowledged his mistake, and offered a similar, smaller property in the same area at a discount. After much planning to bring together 13 people from all over the Northeast together, we did not have the option of planning a new weekend. Plus with only 2 weeks until the event we did not have time to book a different property in the area, so with no other recourse I accepted the other property.
After accepting the new property the owner became less responsive to email requests, would not answer questions about the area or property with anything more than a single sentence, and dodged requests for the return of my $400 overpayment on the new discounted property. The owner of the property was difficult to work with, condescending, rude, and aggressive in threatening with fines and loss of security.
Upon arriving at the replacement property, we realized it was in utter disrepair. Based on the smell of the inside of the property it did not seem anyone had been there for quite some time. The air was stale throughout and basement smelled of mold and mildew. There was a laundry list of issues:
• Broken furniture in the back yard
• Cracked and decrepit decking in the back and front
• Ripped screens in the screened in porch
• Old, filthy carpeting and sticky linoleum kitchen flooring
• A refrigerator door which would not stay closed
We did not have high expectations for the property, but it was near uninhabitable. Based on prior interactions with the owner, we were uncomfortable reaching out to him with issues, fearing he would try to blame us and keep the overpayment and security deposit. We took video of the property before and after to protect ourselves.
Despite multiple calls and emails about the return of my security deposit and overpayment (which should have been returned immediately), it took over 30 days to receive my money back. Eventually, I did receive the money in full after multiple phone call and email follow ups.
Overall, it is a poorly run operation with terrible customer service. We came away with the suspicion that the late notice of overbooking was done on purpose to force our hand into an otherwise un-rentable property.
We spent the week of July9th-16th and had a wonderful time! The grandchildren had alot of fun fishing and swimming at the lake and pool. House is well kept and was perfect for all 14 of us. Close to Camelbeach water park which was a perfect day out!! Jim Thorpe is 10min away and a great shopping experience. We also had fun wine tasting and the kids went white water rafting. Hope to return again next year!
